I’m not much of a collector of antiques but once in a while I don’t mind browsing these types of businesses. You never know sometimes you might find something unique that will be worthy of a buy. This store had lots of items to choose from but what I really was impressed with was the upper section that housed lots of vintage vinyl. Very cool.
Regained, Reclaimed and Reimagined. The boys and their team are back in eclectic, eccentric, retro and vintage style. After literally wallowing in mud, this well known collectors treasure trove is stronger than ever restocked with "new to you" objet d'arte, keepsakes, trophies, relics, archives and memorabilia all dusted with layers of nostalgia. Brisbanes finest record store upstairs. You'll need to stop and take a break for a mug of strong coffee, after a good slap of brown liquid potion you'll be able to continue the hunt. It doesn't matter how long you stay or how many times you go, you'll never see enough it's always evolving. After being decimated by the recent floods, Relove is recurrently a strong presence in Brisbane's urban collectors culture.
This is a beautiful and massive shop, and I loved seeing all of the vintage items, however I was rather disappointed in the tiny, almost non-existent Uranium glass cabinet that had wrong information displayed and jaw-droppingly high prices. I’m so glad I ended up visiting this shop when they were having a 50% off sale for anything over $50, I never would have bought from them otherwise! I bought a set of buttons that were listed at around $150 for about $75, which was definitely a more reasonable price! It’s disappointing when merchants can’t be bothered to do their research and mislabel items just to make a sale. There was a “manganese” glass set listed which isn’t worth anything at all anyway, it was in almost everything back in the day! that was actually Cadmium glass. A very quick Google search would have told you this immediately. A very common jug design was listed as nearly $200, when the average price I’ve seen in store and online is $100 cheaper, and a common plate design was listed as nearly $100, when from what I have seen, it’s usually half of that, too. I’m not asking for lowball, non-profitable prices, just fair prices. This is definitely one of the worst antique/vintage/retro shops I’ve been to in that regard. As lovely as the rest of the store was, I probably won’t be coming back here again, unfortunately. I do wish them all the best though; it’s a nice store and their drinks were refreshing. Also, a sign further out the front or closer to the road would great to advise customers of parking. There was sign that faced out from the building, so couldn’t be read while driving, and there was a car parked directly in front of it so still you couldn’t read it anyway. A market sign or something on wheels you can pop at the end of the driveway would be a good idea.
I went here for record store day. I called up the store 2 days beforehand to ask if they had the record I was after and if they could give me any tips on what time to line up. The guy that answered the phone I believe his name is Jason was incredibly nice! He helped me so well and was so kind! I was going to call some more stores after that, but immediately changed my mind and decided to go to this shop just for their kindness alone. On the day everything was organised perfectly. This store has so many things to check out and they have amazing coffee too! Definitely worth a visit.
I came here for Record Store Day and they handled all of us early birds so well! They have coffee and the interior and antiques are so lovely. Thanks team!
Great coffee! Super friendly staff!! And amazingly entertaining. I find myself coming in every couple weeks and find myself lost in awe with all the great stuff they have for sale. And the vinyl upstairs is incredible!!! Never thought oxley would have its own record store but here it is. 100% worth checking out!
I like to drop in every cpl of months for a rummage thru their vinyl boxes...always find some goodies and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Absolute best vintage store. Upstairs has the best Vinyl/Blu-ray/toy collection
Do love this place, always worth a stop, even if its just for a coffee.
Big selection of Records, somewhat too many to get through them. Lots of other nice vintage knickknacks and furniture, picked up the few things pictured while there Yesterday.
