Consistently reliable experience. The name leans on a fascinating history of the industrial brick building itself, it was once a munitions factory. It's like returning to an old friend where the reggae fusion beats and eclectic retro decor create a depth of warmth and welcoming satisfaction If you are a shift worker like me it's the uninhibited serene family run operation that allows me to quietly indulge in a good quality coffee and a bit of perfectly poached egg and toast. This is the perfect 'ammunition' to get on with my day.
Vibrant little cafe with refreshing open-area seating! We really enjoyed some down time here early on a weekday morning. Street parking is fairly easy, and is non metered. We travelled a little out of our way for this one; but we’re happy we did. We ordered two coffees and an almond croissant. My coffee was really enjoyable, and I loved the cool mug it was in. The almond croissant was just the standard you’d get at any cafe, nothing too special. Wish the staff were a little friendlier though, two of them continued to talk as we waited at the register. Not too much of a bother, as other than that the service was pretty quick. We were however only one of two people in the cafe at this time. Something about sitting outside amongst the trees with a nice cup of coffee is pure bliss! For that reason I probably would travel out of my way to visit here again, it was a great kick start to our morning. Would love to try some of the menu items in the future!
Jazz at Reload - Peter Walters Presents is a lovely way to spend a Saturday night out in the Suburbs. Great jazz vibes with Peter playing bass and guitar, Ross Nixon on keys, Paul Hudson on drums, Kristina Kelman doing a beautiful job on vocals. Young Dominic did a stellar job on bass. Good food with some gluten free options, good service and prices.
One of the best breakfasts I've had in so long. Delicious, fresh, well balanced flavours and brought out quickly. Very satisfying and enjoyable. Superb vibe and layout too. So chill and a great aesthetic.
I only had the lemon and pistachio friand as I was in a rush on my way to a course. It was the most incredibly delicious thing I have eaten in ages. Warm, sweet, tart, and deliciously moist. I will definitely return!!
Consistently great food and drinks. This cafe serves well thought through dishes and sweet snacks as well as good coffee and juices. The location is rather interesting: its in an industrial area and therefore not easy to find but its a true gem. It has very comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, with green plants around and quite a romantic vibe for such a location. It is not fancy but rather down to earth funky and a bit rusty and arty. Street Parking available. The service has always been very friendly and the owner seems to be present at times. A good local place with a nice atmosphere.
First visit with a group of people last Sunday. Disappointing and mediocre. Staff were really poor in greeting people and the fella with a man bun was purging all his greviences into the coffees. Which were more milk than coffee. Not even a glance up or smile. Really long wait for food. Everything seems to get cooked on the one little electric griller. Food was ok but nothing to write home about. Disappointed with the portion of the fritters given the price. Looked as though they the ran out of batter - they were paper thin. Nice setting but let down by our experience on Sunday 26 May 2019
One of the best coffees I've ever had. Great rustic & artsy ambiance too.
We have a quick stopover but there is no seat left. Did take away and coffee were good.
A groovy hidden gem absolutely worth visiting. Excellent coffee, a charming and unique atmosphere, choice of inviting indoor or delightful outdoor seating, down to earth staff, and delicious twists on classic brunch favourites are quickly making Reload one of our go-to brunch choices!
