Forget the exterior. It's the interior that's important . Both my parents have been a resident for 17 months. Management have been very helpful Nothing is to much trouble. Staff are very caring knowledge, caring and helpful. Nursing staff are excellent at what they do. Overall very happy with the standards of Regis Bulimba. This place has a heart.
New residents and family members arriving to Regis Bulimba are greeted by this giant green skip bin, sitting prominently on the footpath near its main entrance, which is constantly filled with the furniture and personal clothing and belongings of deceased residents, all unceremoniously dumped in public, only for local scavengers to then come along and pick through their loved ones’ personal effects. It’s likely an unwelcome reminder of how their time at Regis will end. Last time I raised this, Regis responded misleadingly that it’s just here “temporarily for renovations” but in truth the bin has been here permanently for years now.
Regis Bulimba is a dated facility however the staff that work there more than compensates for that. The nursing staff are very supportive knowledgeable and most caring. The support staff are also friendly, helpful and attentive to my husband’s needs. The cleaners and other support staff are also excellent in what they do to make the home clean and comfortable. Thank you all so much for all you do for Gav as I appreciate all your care and support.
Please don’t send your family members here. The staff are not equipped to handle complex situations and they utilise online doctors to support dementia patients. No real medical intervention.
Our beautiful matriarch has been with regis for a couple of months now and from the point of First view of starting the process , its been amazing the staff has been incredibly helpful and attentive.. Wendy is amazing , the office staff incredible. The catering staff well lets just say our beautiful morher, inlaw, nanna , great nanna, great great grand ma, well she was on supplement drinks prior, no more.. she has put on weight and is very happy with the food. Then we have the nursing staff.. cudos to them. In fact everyone there day or night are amazing. I even stayed to watch state of origin with her and they were extremely accomodation. Yea the place may look tired , but i can confirm The care isn't.. one of the best moves we have made .. thank you
