Awesome team to work with. Very helpful right from the get go, took a bit longer due to the Covid backlog. Any problems we had were resolved quickly. Highly recommend the refresh Manawatu team for your renovation projects.
Refresh Manwatu constructed a carport beside our house. The team was great at consulting us on our requirements, providing advice and sourcing the particular clear roofing which we liked. They provided written plans and cost estimates to help us reach a decision. The work was completed to an excellent standard and I would highly recommend them to others.
Fantastic team at the Manawatu branch of refresh. From the office through to tradesmen and the project manager, all very professional and hard working. The quality of the workmanship cannot be faulted. Attached is the before blue garage and after red garage after refresh completely fixed fascias, roof, replaced and modernised kitchen window. Also internal works completed and further work is planned for next year.
UPDATE re your reply: I have just read your reply to my review. I am curious to see how Refresh Renovations are going to take responsibility for one of their franchisee’s defective workmanship. I am sure any potential future client of yours reading this review will also be very interested to see if Refresh Renovations are stepping up or just leave the client at the mercy of the franchisee which is what I have experienced so far. Watch this space … UPDATE: 5 years later, Had to rip out a nice bathroom and shower due to water ingress. This was a bathroom renovated by Refresh Renovations! Couldn’t believe my eyes when lifting the shower tray: a big hole in the wall where they fitted the waste pipe to go outside and no backfill and concrete around the pipes in the floor. Everything just open and no surprise we got water in here. How are you allowed to do something like that? Will try to add to my previous photos so you can get an idea for the quality Refresh Renovations stand for. We had Refresh Renovations engaged for a major renovation of our family home. Unfortunately, the franchise we had to deal with North Shore were completely out of their depth. Most of the time they had only a couple of apprentices doing the work, their subcontractors like licensed builder and waterproofer completely neglected their responsibilities and got penalized for it by the LBP Board, their project manager completely inexperienced in the basics of project mgmt practice and with no building qualifications, etc. Although Refresh advertises that they have their own building crews, this franchise hired their trades from Builderscrack and e.g. ended up with an unlicensed blocklayer which then used another licensed builder's license number in fraud. All under the eyes and quality management of the Franchise owner and Project Manager. The result were huge delays, big cost overrun and the worst, defective workmanship that we now have to deal with. Refresh Renovations Headoffice was alerted to the situation but did nothing to back us. Hard to understand how they are allowing one rogue franchise to damage their brand in this way. The word is out on the North Shore. Stay away from them! Photos just showing a very small subset of the quality of workmanship that you get when apprentices without supervision are doing renovation work.
Terrible, asked them to put together complete, 100% all in cost, of pre fabricated minor dwelling, delivered, plumbed etc., and they forgot to mention the cost of the change in title, some $20,000+ extra! Absolutely no faith they could have delivered the project on budget as before anything had even been done the cost had increased, and rather significantly too.
I am a professional Interior Designer PDINZ, and am ever thankful that I was introduced to Jim Gleeson of Refresh Renovations Auckland Central. He respects the creative role I play, and I, in turn, am highly respectful of how he makes my designs become a reality. Often this involves his astute problem solving skills, which combined with his strong 'can do' attitude, work ethic, and communication skills between myself, and his superb administration and trade staff, my customers are always delighted with the renovation process, and the finished result. I look forward to the next opportunity to combine forces with Jim.
We had a small bathroom completely remodelled. Right from the beginning, communication was excellent. Wayne Gordon the Director and Project Manager and Brian Taylor the Construction Manager of Refresh Renovations in the Manawatu listened to what we wanted and made useful and helpful suggestions. They went the extra mile to make sure we could achieve what we wanted, accommodate our changes of mind, but still keep the costs reasonable. We are THRILLED with the outcome. We were without a bathroom while this was being done but they provided us with a very nice bathroom trailer near the house which made things a lot easier for us. They have a good team of tradespeople who all did a very good job. We had absolute trust in them all. We wouldn't hesitate to call on their services again.
We contacted Wayne Gordon at the Manawatu branch of Refresh Renovations to help us with a bathroom renovation and the process was faultless. From the initial consultation, Wayne assisted us with plans and suggestions for the space. He was extremely pleasant, professional and patient with us and explained everything as we went along. We were given well detailed and clear estimates and quotes, and when I queried one particular invoice Wayne listened and explained that he would get further detail as we as a client had to be happy. This was very much appreciated as this can be embarrassing. He was aware of our budget and kept this in mind when unforeseen issues arose when the space was opened up. Wayne checked the progress on site regularly and reported back to us. The tradesmen/contractors were excellent, trustworthy and professional important to us as I couldn’t be on site often. The contractors coming and going followed each other seamlessly and saved me such a lot of hassle! The end result was excellent and we are very happy. I recommend Refresh Renovations Manawatu to everyone now because our experience was just super! Thank you.
