Extremely rude, arrogant, and closed-minded on the phone and seems to know less than he'd like you to believe. He seems to think things should be done his way or not at all, and "his way" is about two decades out of date. I rang up inquiring about some dyno time for my Daytona 675 and he aggressively tried to push me into buying a PowerCommander piggyback ECU rather than just answering my inquiry. When I asked him why I need a PowerCommander on a bike that can be easily and completely re-mapped from the factory he got angry and basically said "don't question me, I've got decades of experience tuning bikes" and made threats that re-mapping the factory ECU will definitely brick the bike. That may be true on some other bikes he's worked on, but it is complete nonsense on my specific bike as I've re-mapped it many times as have hundreds of other people on various forums. Nobody in their right mind puts a Power Commander on a Daytona 675 that has an unlocked ECU. Clearly he had no idea about my specific bike but that didn't stop him giving bad advice, telling me how much of an "expert" he was, how wrong I was, and that it was "impossible" to tune without a Power Commander, and then getting angry and actually hanging up on me when I politely asked for anything to actually support his claims. I don't know whether he was doing this out of ignorance, ego, or greed. But either way I learned to avoid Red's at all costs.

I have used Red's for over 15 years. He is one of the best if not the best bike mechanic I have ever met. Always informative and helpful. His passion for bikes is amazing. I thoroughly recommend him. cheers Rod Scoles
