Chips were still pretty much frozen. Person at drive through window chatting to colleagues about her phone while taking my order. No utensils or serviettes provided in bag. Lucky I had disposable gloves in my car as I was forced to eat with my hands and didn't have anything to clean them with after.Food: 1/5
Ordered delivery this evening for a whole chicken, 10 cheesy nuggets and family sized chips. The cheesy nuggets were missing from our order these were the main reason for us ordering RR the whole chicken was extremely dry and chewy which was difficult to digest and the chips were stone cold. Contacted store to advise but nothing was done to resolve the issue except for passing the buck and getting us to contact Door Dash who were equally unhelpful! Looks like I am going be out of pocket for $40 for a terrible meal from RR which is normally of high quality.
We order from this store a lot, and the quality of the food and service is sub par, recently the chips were so salty we couldn't eat it, the corn tasted like it had been sitting in water for days, and the gravy tasted like dirt. it is constantly like this at this store. i wouldn't recommend them. And they always seem to forget something from our order.
Don't bother using the app for Red rooster ... It takes longer to get the order.... Don't USE!!! Why are are staff so thick! Wrong order. Long wait. #corrected review I'm going to start learning how to cook.
Reviewing the Fried Chicken. Batter: Very light. Clean and crunchy. Not terribly greasy, if at all. Taste : Very simple seasoning as demonstrated by a simple brine. Tastes well seasoned with basic salt, however lacks any spice or kick similar to Southern Fried chicken or Nashville styled chicken that I'm more familiar with and prefer. Tenderness : Excellent frying technique and battering has allowed for the chicken to retain most of its moisture. Chicken breasts have greater moisture, I'd rate it at 4/5 at most as I've had much more tender and moist fried chicken in the past. Still, leagues ahead of other chicken shops like KFC known for notoriously dry chicken. Staff and cleanliness: No problems here. Final opinion : If you are hankering for some fried chicken, red rooster satisfies the crunch and texture; unfortunately, they under deliver on the satisfying umami associated with fried chicken due to the simple brine and seasoning. You can remedy this with takeaway and combining with whatever sauces or seasoning powders in your pantry. I'd recommend this to those that want a simple fried chicken where you taste the chicken itself versus the seasoning.
The team need to step up their work ethic. My chips were old and over cooked and I didn’t get what I asked for with my fried chicken. No a happy customer
I didn't like this Red Rooster store, the service was very slow for me. The chicken skin tasted rubbery and the inside of the store was quite filthy.
Purchased the family feed from the parklea store The whole pack was inedible The chips and roast potatoes were extremely salty were weren't able to eat it. The corn cobs were off and were chucked in the bin as well and there was no sauce included. We braved the chicken as we were extremely hungry but was overly salty as well. Very disappointed as I used to purchase red rooster a while back and their food was actually quite tasty
Drove 30mins to have spicy fried chicken and waited 15mins as there was wait on the food. Ended up getting wrong order! Extremely disappointing
