Another great lookout within Canberra, with views stretching across most of the parliamentary buildings in the distance. Most of the viewpoints are from the main carpark, with a few walking track options nearby. There's a pleasant cafe at the top, and panoramic views from the hill. There's also public toilets at the top near the car park, and plenty of information boards.
I have been drawn back for a second view of the beautiful topography that is surrounding Canberra, almost acting as a Great Wall to protect the community within in it. The opportunity to feel small in the great stretches of suburbia and greenery nestled within clumps of houses is a good reminder of what surrounds you, unfortunately due the number of cars travelling around, me included, the wildlife that remains is sparse. Do take the time to enjoy the unique micro environments within the trees as they house populations of lichen and fungi so, watch your step and take a closer look! Amazing 360 view of Canberra.. spend time in this garden city.. and story about how this city was born.. very crispy fresh. Awesome view cafe just next door . Ample parking..

Mt Ainslie Lookout is better view of the ParliamentHouse, although you can fly your drone at Red Hill.
Easy drive up to the top. Lots of different places to park. Toilet on far end of hill. Young people like coming up here. People who are able also like to walk up the hill for exercise. Hidden red police phone box up top
Great view over Canberra and a very peaceful spot. Hopefully the Cafe reopens, it would be a lovely spot to enjoy a meal.
Went for a bit of a different drive, nice view and probably some good walks but we didn't do any as the kids were tired.
One of the best places to relax . But the birds won't let you have any food. I started to eat a wrapper and one bird tried to eat it from my hands.
