I love this place. Nice and friendly staff. The staff are very accommodating and will help you to shuffle your time around where possible. Good variety of refreshments.
We had quite an unpleasant visit at the center today. Realising that we were born overseas, my partner and I were denied access to blood donation, on the assumption that we were not able to understand the screening questionnaire. We didn’t appreciate the tone of the staff and felt their attitude was almost racist.
donated twice before, was generally good but they’ve always been low on stock of things. this time however, I waited for 40 mins after my scheduled time, and because i’m registered for the trial gifts, was supposed to get a tote bag but they didn’t have anything except for sweat towels and lanyards and the lady told me it’s because she forgot to order them. really sad experience
Today I couldn’t give my blood because the staff decided that being Asian I couldn’t understand their questions. Their behavior was not welcoming and they turned my application down, when I only wanted to help and be a good citizen. Sadly, my advice would be not come if you are not Australian - you are obviously not welcome there.

Staff are very caring, professional and friendly and environment is very good. When things go wrong they can handle it to take best care of you to put your safety and health first. Would recommend. Measures and tools are in place to make you feel comfortable and safe.
Friendly, efficient and looking after the donors during donation first class. Clean and well stocked kitchen.
The giving blood part of the red cross is great. The staff are friendly and they're very professional. Compared to how the red cross used to run though, it's not that great. The food you receive after donating is very limited a few pies, sandwiches ect and it's all self serve. You also don't get as much free stuff anymore which might just sound like me complaining, but that really helps bring new people in and help people stay. Making appointments are also challenging. The process it's self isn't hard but there are very little appointments available, they should either employ more staff or have longer opening hours so that they can get everyone in. The appointment times aren't very friendly for the "full-time worker". Nevertheless, if you're thinking of donating, there should be no reason for you not to do it. It's still worth it.
Sad that racism behaviour still exists in 21st century…
