I stumbled on The Real Recycled shop on a recent Sydney trip and discovered how amazing it is. The quality of the products Suzette sells is amazing and at great prices, but it is her amazing service that set her apart. She provides clients with real individual service, taking the time to give you the full information of products, and her layby service is fantastic. I highly recommend The Real Recycled shop. SELLERS & BUYERS BEWARE This is not an ethical business. Suzette lied several times about transferring funds owed to me - initially she said she would pay as the goods were sold, then she said she would transfer funds when I came into store to collect remaining items, then she said by 6 pm that night, I only received a fraction of what was owed the next day when I said I’d have to involve police. She undersells or keeps items herself - there is no evidence of receipt to customer so you can not verify amount paid. Suzette listed my MauriceLacoix watch with certificate of authenticity & new battery for $395 Suzette paid me $90 apparently sold or kept it for $180 without discussing discount with me  I suggested if she undersells she ought to wear the discount. The returned goods were scrunched up in 2 bin liners. I asked her twice if she was sure all items were accounted  for especially Mont Blanc wallets she said yes. More fool me I trusted her. When I got home there were 9 items missing including the Mont Blanc . Again she is not to be trusted. I had to return to store 40 min drive  next day to collect my items. I asked for Suzette for her ABN due to dodgy accounts/GST-  she promised to txt it to me that day as it is not displayed in store. This was never sent, another lie. No GST , duplicate book accounting.  No receipts. Why   is she exempt? When I called her on her lies and fir keeping the money she owed me, instead of having integrity and apologising she said I was a nasty person ! #ATO #Department of Fair Trading

Been going to this wonderful shop for over 20 years, on & off.Always found fabulous vintage finds & the owner to be very helpful & always dressed in my aesthetic! She's never 'pushy' in my experience & contrary to some reviews. She did look somewhat stressed when I visited today & after reading some of the nasty reviews I just read, frankly I'm not surprised! Highly recommend this little gem..

I had a brilliant experience here and was surprised to see the negative comments. I went on a Sunday, the lady working was extremely helpful and polite, she was not pushy and listened to what I wanted / was looking for. I don't buy my luxury labels 2nd hand so my purchases were general items, all great quality and at a great price that a wear all the time. I'm sorry to hear seller's have had a bad experience, hopefully that has changed as I really loved this shop and have told all of my friends about it. I'm going back tomorrow!

Be Very Very Careful.  High end $ brands are mostly counterfeit and NOT openly disclosed at purchase - yet when challenged afterwards -‘it was apparently on the label’ which is handwritten and kept in-store after purchase?…Very, very deceptive behaviour.  Initially offered refund for what was believed to be a genuine product then said No.  Will just take your money large amounts and then has all the right answers for it being ‘counterfeit’, aka AAA.  Do not hand over large amounts of money to this store.

I have only purchased online with zero issues.. I have only had lovely and kind words from the owner. And above and beyond customer service. But I do live in Brisbane so I haven't been into the shop. But when I go on my next trip I do hope to visit.. The owner seems very passionate about her small business and I like to support local small business. So happy to shop here..

Wow! Walked in and didn't even get a hello or a smile. Completely ignored. Not one single word or acknowledgement while I was visiting. Some very lovely and well known brands. I would have liked to have spent more time and bought some items but I couldn't wait to get out. I felt so unwelcome. Will never visit again. Couldn't help but to have a giggle and think of the Pretty Woman scene ... maybe I didn't look the part today ‍

As a customer, I enjoyed the selection of clothes available - although that communal dressing room edit: this may have changed since I last visited gave me nightmares. I personally wouldn't recommend consigning with them. I made so little on some great clothes - I didn't feel like there was a lot of transparency. I have done a lot better selling on Ebay.  Edit: I think the owner should stop replying to the reviews in such a negative and defensive way. I was very fair with the 3 star review. The consignment process was not a positive one, and I would have been better off selling the clothes anywhere else. I had a good experience as a buyer though.

Stay away from this scammer!! This person has no ethic and unbelievable unprofessional and no capability to run the business in legit way.  Stay way from her unless you wanna involved in her illegal activities, and waist your $$ and time.  Do not engage in consignment. She refuses you to provide proper proofs of sale on consignment agreements. So, she will just take your items, and won’t pay the profit she earned from your item, but you cannot report to the police, because she sneaky chose not to provide any proof. As I can see in other reviews, she is constantly using this  tactic to steal the money from ppl.  She even blamed her staff throw away my dresses I left for the consignment. But the employee told me the owner told her to do it, and the owner even didn’t pay her wages and took her items for sale. So, the poor girl ended up with calling the police and lawyer, and still flight to get her stuff and pay. She also told me the owner is telling the lie about the price the items were sold, so that she doesn’t need to pay to her clients.  There are so many decent places in Lane cove, Double bay, Paddington to consign your items with proper paperwork, so no point to loose your money and precious time at this toxic place.  She is also very selfish, so you will not gonna bother to make time for you, but she will tell you exactly when you are allowed to come to her. I was respecting her time and way she does the business, but it turns out no point to be kind and respectful to her. She will anyway bitrate your and be rude to you, as she has no ethic and very low sense of moral.  She was reported to the police, local council, ACCC, ATO for hiding incomes, fair trade by multiple ppl, including her ex-employee. Hope this kind of sick person will be banned from doing repetitive scam business in this nice neighbourhood, Neutral bay.
