If you think a good barbers is about coffee, merchandise and one cut fits all fades, then keep walking. But if you want a good barber that knows their craft and more importantly your head, then look no further than Des and Re-Mix.
Thought I would try the place out after reeding the reviews. My first impression was good, the music had a good vibe and there were guys waiting for a cut. The Barber suggested I nominate a later appointment to avoid waiting in the rather large cue. I did just that and returned later that day. I must admit I am not a big Barber fan, my hair is thick and curly and not many people know how to cut it, especially clipper happy barbers. I am happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised with both my hair cut and the service. I didn't get the gentleman's name but he knew what he was doing and did a great job. Thanks mate - I will be back
Great service from the business owner and barber, Des. Has been cutting my hair for a number of years and whether it's been him or one of his assistants looking after me he has always made sure I'm happy with the cut. Good vibe, mellow tunes, nice existence - every time.
Normally great haircuts , my son left very disappointed we did not know someone with very little experience was going to cut his hair , she left it in a terrible state , uneven and a big bit missing from the back, the cut behind the ears even worse. Not happy , we should of been advised of this woman's level of experience and given the option of who we wanted to cut my son's hair . We even got charged full amount for this hideous haircut.
Been returning to Des regularly since my first visit in 2015. Always great with light conversation and asking about personal things in my life even after I lived overseas for 1.5 years. Always a fantastic haircut as well as beard trim.
Barber with curly hair slipped with the clippers while chatting with other customers and left a bold patch at front of my head told me he is sorry but said it looks stylish then still charged me full price.. amazing.. the other customers seemed to be regulars and all had the exact same haircut. biggest disappointment.
Really had faith that this place and the barber where on his A game and a master of the barber craft. His decor is basic, but not as basic as his skills. The sloppiest and worst service I've ever experienced. To keep my length I've had to travel to the other side of town and will take 4 to 6 months to recover from the hack job I paid $30 for. Footscray African barber will give you a beard trim with a fade and all the bells and whistles for $20. As a hair and makeupartist steer clear of this joint. His skills are as bad as his booking system.
4 times now, I have tried to get my hair cut during their advertised business hours. Have taken the time to go there, and found the place to be shut. Good haircuts, if you can ever actually get one.
Des is a great bloke to have a chat with and i usually prefer sitting in silence. Might help that he's a United fan and plays good music. The fact that he's always busy and its hard to get in tells you all you need to know.
Des is one of the best barbers going around. You know he takes pride in every cut he does, and he's nurtured relationships with so many people in the community over the years. Re-Mix has played a big part in the continued growth of Seddon over the years: Des should be very proud that!
