It was my first time at rbe and Rachel cut my hair. I was in at 3:30 & my hair was washed and cut and i was out of there by 3:41. What does that tell you? It was the most stressful, rushed experience I've ever had at a hairdresser! As she washed my hair she seemed oblivious that she was getting hot water all over my face then when she brushed it she almost took skin off my scalp. This was followed by frantic fast chopping of my hair, the trimmed parts getting stuck all over my face as she told me about her cut and colour packages. When she was done she dried my hair a little and apologised that she couldn't show me what she had done in the back because her mirror was broken. I mean really? She then scribbled her name and number on the back of a previous clients eftpos receipt because she obviously had no business cards. Then time to pay. The cut was $30 and i gave her a $50. She had no change and had to go next door to ask them if they could change my $50. They couldn't. So i was forced to transfer funds into my account and pay using eftpos. Honestly the whole experience left me stressed and with a very bad taste in my mouth, it was all so hasty, unprepared and unprofessional. I've given one star because the actual cut was not that bad. I'll never return. My advice would be take a little more time and care with your clients so they actually want to return, get a mirror and some business cards and make sure you have change. Also clean up the place.

I'm really conflicted about how many stars to give because the cut I got was excellent and I love it, but the experience overall wasn't great. I arrived at the salon and had to wait 30 minutes to be seen even though I had booked the appt over a week ago. The shop is run down and she had obviously been very busy because there was hair all over the floor. She washed my hair and left the treatment in while she swept the store but she didn't bother to sweep under my chair and it still had someone else hair under it when I came back from the basin. The cut was way too fast. While I love it, it would have taken her no more than 5 minutes, it was definitely rushed and scary sitting in that chair. The blow wave was stunning and lasted the next day as well. I loved the products she used on my hair, all organic and smelt amazing. The whole thing took about 20 mins. She should have slowed down and taken 30 minimum for a wash, treatment, cut and blow wave.

Left the "salon" (dirty, run down old shop front) with dripping wet hair that had gone from blonde to various shades of grey, blue and purple. Got in to my car and burst in to tears. Scrubbed my hair repeatedly with dishwashing detergent, still looked like the Cookie Monster. Too embarrassed to leave my house, I spent $225 the following day to get it fixed at a proper salon, the stylist said the foils had 'bled' which just means rushed, sloppy, lazy work and the toner was wayyyy to strong. Which would explain the purple ring around the edge of my face that night. Terrible experience, never again.
