There aren’t many cafes that you can visit in the city that’s opened 7 days a week which offers such a broad selection of healthy, vegan and vegetarian options. Their salads, açai bowls and smoothies options are so fresh, healthy and delicious. Neat and tidy, the staff are polite and the service is fast. Portion sizes are light but you don’t need excessive portions to enjoy your meal. It’s not the most atmospheric cafe in comparison to a lot of other cafes in the city but if you’re after healthy food 7 days a week, you can’t go wrong at Raw Energy.
DISAPPOINTING BREAKFAST CAFE I've tried two outlets of Raw Energy now - this one and one on Southbank. Sadly both are pretty ordinary. This one is conveniently close to the Westin and four points hotels and does have a choice of both I door and outdoor tables. There is little warmth or engagement from the staff. I had to ask twice for my table to he wiped after the previous slightly messy customers and had to prompt the waiter about my slow coffee order as he'd become preoccupied with new takeaway customers. The menu is quite plain- regular sliced bread rather than artisan, spinach side dish is raw leaves rather than steamed, fried eggs very overcooked. Small details like cold milk instead of the hot requested are forgiveable especially at present - August 2022 - when it's very hard to attract and retain experienced staff but the overall vibe is very flat. People with mobility issues will be fine here as long as they enter from the ramp rather than the steps it is all at street level with no steps to negotiate. I went earky on a Sunday morning - so perhaps I caught the less experienced crew? Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options Kid-friendliness: High stools at some tables and lack of a kids menu will make this slightly challenging Parking: This outlet is in the city centre so parking will be challenging
Convenient location, quick friendly service and refreshing healthy breakfasts. Ate here all week for breakfast and each experience was consistently good cannot fault.
Nice located spot, however the service and food quality was lacking. we got the corn fritters and big brekky. the fritters were over cooked and dry, was hard to cut, bacon as well. the big brekky came with tomatoes when a request was made for none. also the bacon was undercooked. 4 staff on deck but the Tables aren't cleaned over the 10 minutes we were waiting on coffee. We were going to order some sweet treats from the display, however a lot of the items looked dry. Coffee tastes lovely, well blended however a bit on the expensive side $6 for a large. Could be a bustling buisness if a few tweaks are made in this Reviewers opnion.
Not too sure how you justify $18.50 and a 35 minute wait time for a cous cous bowl I use the term cous cous bowl lightly because there's about 2 teaspoons of it in here? May have been quicker if the guy in the kitchen wasn't on his phone..Hugely disappointed.
Had a similar experience to others. Ordered a Mexican beef bowl at lunch time, the place was not that busy and I was after a quick and healthy meal to go. Staff were extremely pedestrian and seemed highly disinterested in customer service. After waiting 25 mins, I got a bowl that looked and tasted like some microwave meat. Extremely disappointing for $16.90. I had two bites and discarded it. I won't be back.
Always great ! Have only tried the caveman salad with chicken and the coffee but both a winner - I have been coming here at least once a week recently.
Did not eat our meals: corn fritters were burnt, bacon was fried in clumps middle layers were cold, avocado tasted seriously strange, pancakes looked like a slop of sugary substance, coffee was average at best.Food: 1/5
Having had one of these on the Gold Coast which was great, we thought we’d head here for Breakfast. Saddened by the lack of customer service. Although our meals were good and tasty, one of the coffees ordered did not come out. Mentioned to the waitress when bringing out our meals. Then after 15 minutes, had to go in and ask again- no apology from any staff member. The barista just looked blankly- requested this to be made in takeaway as we had now finished our meals. Another 10 minutes, and I had to walk in, to find it just sitting on the bench ready to go out. Not sure how long it had been sitting there because it was not hot. Again, no apology. Would not rate a return simply because of the lack of customer service
I ordered an açaí bowl. The price was reasonable and big portion but it was pretty ordinary.
