Met with a warm and informative greeting, we entered our peaceful weekend retreat surrounded with abounding natural beauty. Not only was it private, serene tranquility but clean and every detail was attended to. So much to love like the spa, the bed and the music. This is close to Ravensbourne National Park and not far from cafes and hotels of your choice. We particularly liked the view from the balcony and the wood fire prepared for us to simply light. The breakfast basket was perfect. We will be back.
Very lovely getaway from a stressful and busy lifestyle, take your significant other and leave your kids behind because this is not a place for family but for spending quality time with your SO. The chalet packaged deals are perfect for a weekend with a large bed, open bathroom with two-person bathtub, fireplace, veranda, kitchen; all self-contained and very private. The layout is homely with natural wood colours and beautiful décor of white canopy bed curtains, indoor plants and furniture. I would not recommend for a honeymoon getaway or family holiday as there is not much to do around the area despite the claims. We spent 3 days there and it was perfect for indoors-y people wanting to just chill, rest, read, sip, watch movies or netflix, cook and bathe, all in a relaxed manner. Very affordable.
Had the most wonderful time here. If you need to get away from the city and relax, this is ‘the spot’. Beautiful accommodation and lots to do locally or not do if you just want solitude. One of the best weekends of my life.
Disappointing. Crockery was dirty, dishwasher didn't release tablet and apparently the new cleaner didn't notice and put away the dirty dishes. The chalet needed a lot of TLC - tiles about to fall off the walls, grout missing, BBQ needs replacing. Our wedding night plus package didn't deliver - dead orchid and two Aldi Chocheur 40g chocolates weren't what I imagined when it stated fresh flowers and chocolates. Robes were old and rough, slippers were a blessing as the floor is timber and was freezing. Had to pay in full before we arrived, so felt that we had to stay - this should have been the warning sign. No wifi and no TV. One positive, wood fire.
Stayed here for our honeymoon and then our 10 year anniversary. Lovely place and wonderful owners.
Great place to spend a weekend away from the world. Step off and enjoy.
