Good food but do not order the salmon teriyaki bento. We always order the karage bento and we love it so I was super excited to try the salmon teriyaki. Big disappointment. I understand salmon is more expensive than chicken but it looks like we got salmon leftovers. I would be happy to pay more for a decent portion of salmon if I knew it was that small. $19 for this was disappointing… Thank you to the staff member that talked to us on the phone today and tried to help :
I was super enticed by the cheese ramen and cheese katsu on the reviews. I’ve never seen cheese ramen elsewhere. The food is alright, and I won’t be revisiting since this neighborhood is out of the way for me. The cheese ramen had very nice melted cheese that stuck on the noodles, so that was a plus; the soup tasted just like a salt broth not particularly cheesy. I didn’t realize the ramen came with one egg and two pieces of meat, so I unwittingly ordered an extra egg. The egg was overcooked, not the onsen ramen egg I’m expecting. The meat was kind of dry too. The red spicy broth was less overwhelmingly but can be spicy for some. The cheese katsu was popular and ordered by few other tables. Unfortunately, the meat was on the dry side, and chicken based not pork. The cheese didn’t add much taste, just chewy texture. It was good to eat it with one of the sour sauces since it was just tasting fatty more than anything else. The restaurant had iPads so you can order on your own, but there wasn’t much description of the dishes, also when you select to order, it doesn’t just add to the order list, it immediately orders. Thankfully the server was kind and allowed us to delete one of our orders which we didn’t realize was placed. The physical menu might be more helpful. There are some tables outdoors and indoors.
Tasty broth, good texture ramen noodles and generous servings. Pretty good Unfortunately the Red Toriichi Ramen was way too spicy, the chilli was too overwhelming to taste anything 2 stars. The Niniku Red Ramen garlic broth had the perfect balance of garlic and spices. Chashu topping was made with chicken, not pork, which was different. Could’ve used a bit more seasoning for the chashu. Giving it 4 stars because the Niniku Red Ramen was delicious! Not authentic Japanese but it’s pretty good for a lunch option!
The food here is outstanding. The noodles in the ramen as fresh as we’ve had both here and in Japan. Great value for money. We were actually shocked how good it was. Kirin beer ice cold and service great. Is it the best ramen in Sydney? I don’t know. Is it the best ramen I’ve had in Sydney? Definitely. Thank you.
The food here is great! The cheesy chicken katsu is so delicious I would order these again The ramen was also good When ordering we ordered on an iPad so you get to see all of the photos of the items on the menu which is helpfulRecommended dishesCheesy Chicken Katsu, Black Sesame Chashu Ramen, Roasted Pork
Amazing place with delicious Japanese food!!! The customer service is fantastic and the vibe is warm and relaxing. Can't wait to return..Food: 5/5
I believe I'm that guy who's been to a ramen place twice and still never had the ramen haha. These cheesey katsu bites are hectic and my inner fat kid loves them! Hidden just off military Rd neutral bay check them out.
Good ramen with full size or half size options. Gyoza has more options too, especially pork or chicken mixed with leek or coriander.
Cute little venue with a range of delicious Japanese items. Love their selection of new dishes from their spring menu.
Solid ramen from Toriichi! Good flavourful broth with noodles that still had some bite. Toppings were ok, the pork and eggs were both a little over cooked. Overall, stop by if you’re looking for a homey ramen that’s pretty affordable and very filling!
