We came in tonight for dinner. Our food took just under 2 hours to be served. I understand it was busy but 2 hours is absolutely ridiculous. All the vegetables in our meals were from a tin which I assume they had run out of fresh veg being so busy. With two chefs on our table we were disappointed.
I can't believe people give this place one star.. it is by far the best country Chinese shop i have ever tried. The food is amazing, prices are high but food has always been great. I moved from the city a little while back and I honestly think this place compares to places that are actually another 30% more expensive. Some people just like to complain. Small family businesses need our support, not to be hounded online because you had a little wait. Maybe you were made to wait as the world knew you needed to learn some patience.. every month I get an order from here and every time i thank the lord that rainbow palace exists and accepts me for me.
The staff were warm & friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting, clean & pleasant. We ordered the Special banquet for 2 people & the food was extremely yummy.
Delicious if you live in south Gippsland its worth driving from any of the small towns to Kuromburra....its even worth driving a little further than that. Fast service and fantastic Chinese with large portions and plenty of protien in the meat/fish/poultry dishes. This photo is my portion with soon much left in the containers enough to feed another x2 ppl of lemon chicken, Denise Prawns and special fried rice

Takeaway meal for our lunch was awful. Honey chicken tasted stale and was probably left over from the day before and reheated up. As it was dry and hard. . Ordered beef and black bean sauce dish. Was given beef with oyster sauce. Live too far away to come back again to change meal. The chef that cooked this meal should be fired. Used to have nice yummy food. Gone downhill fast.
Hubby and I had the banquet I took the first bite of the rice paper roll or whatever it was as it was square and for the very first time in my life had no choice but to spit it into my napkin. It was absolutely rancid,the foul taste was overwhelming. Hubby wasn't even game to taste his. I told the lady who came to remove the plates and she apologised then came back about 20 minutes later with another 2. I just took mine apart but it too had a strange smell but only slight so we weren't game to eat them. I was told that the chef did smell the first one and said it was definitely off. We had the honey chicken which is my favourite but although the chicken was crispy and delicious we didn't get the usual cashew nuts and the crunchy rice noodles were pretty much non existant. However hubby's king prawns were awesome. Then came the banana fritters with ice scream another disappointment which may I add is usually a favourite were tasteless the batter was crispy as for the caramel, well it wasn't the usual thick and rich it was a very watered down version. Such a disaster for an evening that we were looking forward too. As for the service it was OK but we were given nice hot plates after the horrible off tasting beginning but had to wait a further 45 minutes for our main. Not to mention arriving at 5-15 and leaving around 7-45. As I went to pay I was asked how was our meal I replied that had I of eaten the second dish I would of definitely ended up in hospital.Another staff member then said very quietly that we were the ones that had the bad meal so do a deduction for them. We received a deduction of $7 off which was obviously the cost of the entree that I had. What happened to common courtesy the manager didn't even come and apologise or try to give an explanation as to why the whatever it was that I had was so rotten. To be honest we had no idea what it was. I have given this place great reviews before so I was very disappointed that in this day and age one can be served a dish that was so rank. We most certainly will not be back. NOT HAPPY

Decided to give them a try after last years tasteless offerings. Absolutely no improvement! No prices on menu. Never again.
