the rainbow hotel – come for a beer, stay for the music

Located in the back streets of Fitzroy for over 140 years, about 50 metres from the thriving hub that is Brunswick Street, this hidden beauty stands tall and proud as one of Melbourne’s oldest and friendliest pubs. Now open 7 days a week, the King brothers have introduced a new twist to a classic venue, with over 100 beers from here and around the world available. Come on in to sample our fine selection of beers, try the wonderful cooking of our chef, Dan Gamboni, enjoy the fantastic live bands we have playing, or just bring a bunch of mates for a beer and a game of pool in our massive beer garden.

I love the atmosphere at rainbow and they have a decent selection of food for vegans. Would be nice if they could add vegan cheese to the beyond meat burger. And maybe the could stock at least one non-alcoholic beer.

Great feed, great atmosphere, friendly service. I had the calamari tacos which were awesome value, the enchiladas which were super tasty and vegan. The rainbow burger was also a winner... I'll be back!

Staff are awesome, food was fantastic and they were very accommodating for gluten free ! The beer garden is exceptional would highly recommend if you're on this side of the city
Oh my sweet aunt, the 300g wagyu rump steak is unreal. Top 5 all time steaks. Legends on the bar, kings in the kitchen. Great beers on tap. All this keeps me going back again and again.
Great Venue , top shelf food , staff are very enjoyable, dog friendly.
Awesome experience, with plenty of new beers to try, and generous meal portions.
