From the moment I started planning our day and discovered a bar hotel so close to the train station, everything just fell into place. I was already impressed by their reservation page, but once we arrived, the warm welcome from their bubbly staff made it even better.nnThey surprised us with a little drawing kit for kids, and that small gesture truly delighted me. From the service to the food, every part of the experience was so pleasant. It’s the kind of restaurant that makes you feel grateful a place like this exists.

Update  On another recent visit I tried the steak - delicious!  Porterhouse 300g with pepper sauce and vegetables.  Steak cooked exactly how I like it medium and it was tender and tasty.  Other family members had Filet Mignon & the Ribs sorry, no pics and their meals were delicious too - generous serving sizes.nnI had dinner here last week.  Pub with a great Bistro offering lots of traditional favorite meals.  I had the chicken parma and my brother had the Aussie parma.  Both generous servings and delicious with good quality chicken schnitzels and fresh and tasty sauces and components.  Great range of beers and drink options from the bar.  Plenty of free parking onsite as well as in nearby streets.  Worth a try if you’re hungry!

Met up with a friend for lunch, both had a lovely meal. The gentleman who greeted me was very helpful, offered drinks while I waited for my friend. Waitress was very helpful with the menu, and meals arrived promptly, very generous size. I have no hesitation in recommending this venue.

Had such a fantastic experience at this establishment. Whilst the atmosphere was very tame, it was great to enjoy a game of pool with low key noise and not a huge crowd to make the dining experience a hard one to hear the person across the table. We were met by a lovely young staff member who was busy with bistro patrons and happily got another member of staff to assist us. Amy, the manager of the venue, was extremely well presented, greeted us with a big smile and bubbly personality. Amy went above and beyond to cater to the needs and requests of not only myself, but a number of other patrons that I witnessed her attend to in our time at Pakenhams' 'Railway Hotel.' Overall, the meals came out very promptly, were wholesome, filling and very delicious. Cannot fault the establishment, it's food, menu range and most of all, the Amazing and beautiful staff. All-round, a terrific venue and highly recommend to any and all, whether local or passing through!

Really love this place, The outside beer gardens so good and awesome, cosy, warm, friendly atttentive staff & welcoming. The food we had was amazing, portion size excellent & filling. Will keep comming back. Since the renovations it's clearly gone from strength to strengths. Keep up the great work guys.
