Extremely Dodgey. Keep well clear of this guy

Quick Fit has always been professional and patient when dealing with me. The 'comfort' I now have in leaving my mechanical needs in their hands is total. They have been let down by those have supplied services/engines to them but they have always been spot on and that is sooo important for me to have a vehicle that can handle severe off road conditions in the most isolated parts of Aus. I chose Quick Fit because they quoted a 4 to 5 day turn around, indicating they had an engine in stock ready to go. Their quote was significantly higher than others I had but needed my car going for a road trip planned that I really didn't want to cancel. 

The rebuild ended up taking nearly 5 WEEKS! This is twice as long as cheaper quotes had indicated and I had to cancel my trip anyway. Quick fit offered no discount and were completely nonchalant about the situation, as though taking 7 times as long as quoted was something that just happens regularly there. Their excuse was the rebuilt engine was dropped during transport rendering it unusable so they had to rebuild mine! I asked to see a photo or insurance claim for the dropped engine but they couldn't produce one. I believe I was lured in by a promise of quick turnaround but they never even had an engine ready to go. Don't be fooled yourself. 

On top of this, one of the heater hose clamps was not done up at all so it's lucky my engine didn't cook again driving it home. In addition, they had reused several stock spring clips instead of the threaded after marked units I was charged for on other hoses. They rectified this but really? What else was reused that should have been replaced when they are reusing a couple of dollars worth of clamps! 

Also, they tried to charge me $280 for a plastic heater tap that I ended up sourcing for 25 dollars! This is after they told me I'd be getting 'trade' rates on any additional parts I needed like they were doing me a favour!?  Same situation with leads, drive belts, radiator, etc. Plus $180 to clean 4 injectors that were already removed (rebuilding engine) when other places charge $15 to $30 each for this. It's shops like this that give mechanics a bad name.

Take your car somewhere else.

Plenty of verbal spin. Think twice before you decide to get your engine serviced or rebuild by these people. There are better and more solid companies out there. Too much verbal spin and talk. They also contract most of the work out and then charge the client additional fees. Do your homework. I wish I did better research. Good luck guys.
