Originally had gone to take a look around but didn't realise there was a team of volunteers there to help guide us around and answer all our questions. It was a very valuable experience and it was great to see how technology progressed over the years. I would highly recommend visiting.
Really enjoyed this place, staff where great and gave awesome tour, love seeing all the old phones, the guides knew what they where talking about as they had actually worked with the majority of the old equipment. Gold coin dontaion to get in. Well worth it.
I wish it was open more often. Awesome place.
The museum houses the best and most comprehensive display of communications equipment and its history in Qld. This encompasses everything from Telegraph Morse gear to recently redundant telephony equipment. Staffed by a knowledgeable group of volunteers who have access to a mine of information.
Bigger than I expected. People were really helpful despite the fact that we nearly came at closure. Only open on Wednesdays though.
Very well informed guided tour with plenty of items in the collection. Well worth a visit for the history of telecommunications.
If you want to see how everything works using the old landline, then this place is it. They have put in so much effort. Job well done.
Excellent place to see the evolution of communications in Australia.
Fantastic museum, plenty of items on display. Gold coin donation, easy off street parking. Volunteers are ex PMG, telecom, Telstra workers and very passionate and knowledgeable. Great working equipment you can play with. Highly recommend a visit. Open Wednesday's only
