A really nice museum to visit. If you are visiting Brisbane city this is a great add to your itinerary. This is just beside the State Library of Queensland and Queensland Museum Kurilpa. If you are into art galleries, paintings, and drawings, this can be a very enjoyable experience for you.
nVisiting the Queensland Museum Kurilpa was one of the highlights of my trip to Brisbane! This museum is an amazing place for families, tourists, and anyone curious about science, history, and culture.nnThe exhibitions are very well organized and incredibly interesting. I especially loved the natural history displays with the huge dinosaur skeletons and fascinating information about Australian wildlife . It’s a great way to learn about the unique environment and history of Queensland.nnThe interactive sections are fantastic, especially for kids. There are many hands-on activities that make learning fun and engaging . Even adults will enjoy exploring the science displays and historical artifacts. The museum is spacious, clean, and easy to walk around.nnAnother great thing is the location. It sits in the beautiful South Bank Parklands area, which means you can easily combine your visit with a relaxing walk by the river, cafes, or nearby attractions .nnThe staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions or guide visitors. Entry to many exhibits is free, which makes it an excellent budget-friendly attraction .nnOverall, the Queensland Museum Kurilpa is educational, fun, and very well presented. I highly recommend visiting if you are in Brisbane!
Went here on our last day in Brisbane as it was torrential rain outside. Spent a good, informative couple of hours seeing all the animals, insects and reptiles that Australia had and has to offer. Some very interesting specimens in the museum. Had a wrap and a latte and earl grey tea in their cafe and it was reasonably priced too.The fact it was free to enter was a lovely touch.
Great place for family spending an hours or two, especially during hot and cool days.nnFree entrance for exhibition areas: animal specimens, dinosaurs and 2 seperate areas that currently exhibiting ceramics and transgender culture.nnThere is a table on the top floor letting the kids to search for stick insects' eggs in soil. A few live species e.g. snake and leaf-like insects can also be found on the same floor.nnThere are 2 exhibition halls that require additional tickets for entrance.nnLove this place as the animals specimens are well maintained and categorized in an easy searching order. Kids enjoy themselves here
Free entry. A small, highly engaging museum that ticks all the boxes. The exhibits are highly engaging and information is presented in easily digestible quantities. Museum staff were polite and knowledgeable. Just the right mix of old and new. Something for everyone. A really pleasant surprise. Highly recommended.
