Just had my wisdom teeth extracted and Dr. Wallace was excellent. We had some difficulty getting one tooth out and he was superb at taking the time and listening to me as well as dishing out the pain relief. He was able to extract without me feeling the pain even though it took some going! The fee was incredibly reasonable too!
Made my appointment for Friday but my tooth had ofher plans. I rang the friendly team and got in on a cancellation booking. I explained to my dentist that I was anxious and dental phobic and appreciated him getting me in so early. Royce went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and distracted me nicely while waiting for the anesthetic to kick in. He reassured me and ensured I could be as comfy as possible. 100% recommend will be going back for preventative measures to avoid angry teeth in the future.
Today my best friend of over 20 years came in for a booked appointment, for an examination and xray of teeth that it had already been established needed to be extracted. Reception was aware that my friend has clinical anxiety and due to unforseen circumstances is currently unmedicated. After being seated in the dentist chair, the dentist proceeded to seat himself behind her head. He proceeded to ask a few routine questions, to the back of my friends head, to the point that my friend felt the need to turn herself around in order to show the dentist what she was trying to explain. When she returned to her seat correctly, she asked if he could come have a look, the dentist turned to my friends mother who was also in the consultation room and asked, quote : "Is she always like that?" He continued to question the back of my friends head, and still feeling that this was rude, she again turned in her chair. He then repeated the pre-quoted question to my friends mother; Is any of this so far sounding like it deserves any more than one star? The rest of this encounter just GOT WORSE! No empathy was shown. No compassion. No understanding. That dentist was just down right disrespectful and rude! My friend requested seeing another dentist. This whole ordeal resulted in the dentist refusing to, 1 get another dentist, 2 continue the consultation and 3 reschedule another appointment. My friend felt the need to leave.
This centre was recommended by friends - so this was my first visit. Courteous and friendly staff at reception - awesome service from the dentist also.
I have dentist anxiety due to horrible previous experiences. Absolutely astounded at how different Queen Street dental was to any other dentist I've been to. I had to get a tooth pulled and I was done in 15 minutes didn't feel a thing. When he stopped I thought he was going to tell me something was wrong, but nope, quick, easy, made me feel at ease. Beyond impressed.
They are always friendly and make your experience at the clinic welcoming. They do a fantastic job. Highly recommend this dental centre
If I could give them minus 5 stars I would. I went in on the Monday the 11 of Feb 2019 for an extraction and the dentist messed it up quite badly. So I left in a great deal of pain with a half removed tooth. The day I was supposed to return The following Monday was canceled so after a run around I was given half an hour to get there to see another dentist. He did a fantastic job. However I was very surprised when I went to pay the bill that not only did they charge me for the first failed appointment but they were charging far more for it. After all the pain I went through with this incompetent dentist and suffering with a half removed tooth for 4 days I expected an apology and no bill at all I didn't mind paying for the second appointment though. Disgusting behavior and something I am considering taking up with the Dental Council.
Had made an appointment to have teeth cleaned by hygenist happily got dentist instead, my experience of the consultation was that it felt rushed . It was suggested it would be helpful I guess to have an X-ray really but unsure why was only getting teetteetcleaned
All I can really say is "wow"... I have been torturing myself for the last 8 months with a wisdom tooth that has been rotting away and causing me UNTOLD amounts of pain, because I have never had any work done at the dentist since I was like 6 over 26years ago and that was just a filling. I had Kieran I think? and he helped me to relax, was very professional, very informative and made it such a pleasure to have this tooth removed! I couldn't believe it. Not one bit of it hurt at all! I spent more time in the waiting room than I did in the chair think it literally took about 10mins to remove it to my surprise The staff were so lovely and obviously understood the situation as they got me in the same day I called. Thank you Queen Street Dental! I'll be back to get the others pulled when the time comes.
The team here was nice and they did a thorough yet quick job on my teeth although you did have to wait for a bit before seeing a dentist.
