This is a fabulous little shop with phenomenal service. I popped in over Easter looking for cheeses for a platter. The lovely lady manager went above and beyond in assisting me. She was so kind and knowledgeable in her recommendations, even let me try some of the amazing cheeses. The cheese platter was an absolute hit! I will definitely be back next time I'm having guests over.
I am editing my previous 5 star review. A resident of the immediate locale for 40 years and a frequent shopper at Queen St Deli but not anymore. The dark haired lady is incredibly rude and I will not spend my money here anymore. It would seem I am not the only one experiencing this, with so many other terrible reviews. Shape up Queen St Deli. You charge premium prices so how about offering premium service! My old review: Having red other Between here and the grocer a few doors down you have everything you need and staff that will take care of you and remember your name.
Good basic sandwich. Place was empty. Staff member was rude to myself and partner. Dismissive and terrible customer service. Shame as would have returned if this was better. Other reviews seem the same.
The lady who served me today was extremely unpleasant and rude. The food looks lovely but it's not worth poor customer service. I'd rather support businesses who have pleasant staff and share good experiences. Pasta Pantry next door had nice staff and a great vibe.
Who knew cutting a sandwich in half was such a problem, probly one of the rudest and snobbiest customer service I’ve ever in counted. They must think we breath different air
We go out of our way to support small business. But when the staff ignore you and then when they eventually get around to serving you are so gobsmackingly rude to you it is difficult to come to any other conclusion but that they just don’t want your business. The service was so appalling we left mid-order and went elsewhere for exactly the same products but without the barefaced rudeness. Wish we had read the other reviews before we popped in and wasted our time.
Had a toasted focaccia for lunch - was tasty and good portion size. A little expensive for my budget, but good for an occasional treat.
The worst service every-time I visit this deli. Yesterday they made me wait for 5 minutes, whilst they talked to a friend in the shop. Not once did the acknowledge me, a simple hello would have kept me waiting. I couldn't wait for their conversation to finish, so I walked out after 5 minutes.
Great mix of local vendors Organic Bread Bar, South African sweets and yummy prepared foods spanakopita. Really appreciate the focus on keeping everyone safe while we shop too.
What a strange experience! They’re super rude and unfriendly! The food is average and quite expensive for what it is. Won’t be going back and I’ll tell my friends about the service. That’s how bad it was!
