Absolutely disgraceful service! Booked in advance for a glucose test and FBC for my pregnancy. Was advised to be there at 7am and would be a priority with the nature of the test.nArrived and didn’t take a number 7 people were after me and took a number as I waited to speak to the collector. I explained to her I had an appointment at 7am and she advised me my appointment meant nothing and to wait. I explained I was confused as I was told I would be priority with the test and needed to fast no longer than 10 hours in which she responded was not true and to go wait in line.nWhen I told her I’ve just let 7 people in front of me as I didn’t think I’d be waiting, she said it was not her problem and to wait and be prepared to wait up to an hour. She refused to take me in and took in the next patient. Absolutely disgusting service and incorrect procedure.nHowever, I phoned QML head office to make a complaint and they were extremely lovely and apologetic and advised what this lady did was wrong and I should have been prioritized! I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else in the future.
Have never had any issues with this place, other than long wait lines on Weekend Mornings to be expected, no fault of theirs.
Lovely staff who are quite good at taking bloods. Only 2 atm are allowed in the sitting room. And it is only 1 room taking bloods. First time waiting, we had to wait outside, this time we had the cards and the others had to sit in the dr surgery waiting room and have the numbers called out. Really busy at 7am though. If you can avoid needing to come before 8am, I would.
Long queues on a Saturday morning. I waited 20 minutes just to drop a sample off not for blood collection - no one came in or out of the collection room. Approximately 10 other people waiting. No numbers left on the wall to take for queuing. Ended up leaving and going elsewhere.
Lady was not friendly and blood test hurt and she was very aloof about it. Not a pleasant experience, and will go to another QML in future.
