On Monday 28/07/15 about 08:15 my wife had a heart attack and following the 000 call the Ambulance arrived amazing quickly and then a Senior Paramedic on being called. She was assessed and medicated while arrangements were made for immediate admission to the Princess Alexandra Hospital. While in-transit further medication was administered and on arrival she was taken straight to the theatre which was being prepared for her. As a result of the prompt action by the QATB and Hospital Staff, my wife is now recovering as well as possible and hopes for discharge by Friday 31/07/15. I have nothing but praise for all the Staff and their speedy responses and skilled actions. We are indeed fortunate to be in the area where this is available. Well Done to all concerned.

I came off my bike on Hargrave Street, West End on Sunday morning, 12th June. I would like to thank the wonderful paramedics Chris and Dave for all their care & concern looking after me! I was in excruciating pain as I have broken my collarbone. They were so gentle with their care & they continued to keep me calm while we waited at the hospital! I don't know if the words 'Thank you' come close to how grateful I am for having Chris & Dave come to my rescue!

Would like to take the time to write a letter of appreciation for the services provided by QAS employee " John " on the Gold Coast. Unfortunately I don't know his surname, but can say he has a proper English accent ( maybe from Manchester ). I am writing this also on behalf of my mother who was the actual patient and was lucky enough to have had John attend twice to her needs. John is calm, composed and has a very friendly manner which is an absolute delight in stressful situations, but it was his humour and ability to make others ( even the casualty while in incredible pain) laugh and relieve their stress without them knowing while remaining utterly professional that is need of recognition here. My mother is a cancer patient and the night in question she had actually fractured her back (2 vertebrae) due to the weakening of her bones. John is a great asset to QAS and the public at large. Also a very big thank you to all at QAS for your tireless efforts. Regards Kosta Zahos
