Good service and very good food for where you are. No getting around it, it's expensive. Much more than it needs to be and more expensive than the food is good but for a consistently high quality meal and a nice setting both inside the bistro and out the back you won't leave hungry. For drinks you have all your standard beers on tap, some craft beers, all spirits and a good little menu of cocktails. Overall a positive experience every time, just don't be on a tight budget.
This is a great place to get dinner if you’re in Newman! All the meals are well portioned for their price. I ordered the Fried Chicken Burger, but ordered an extra piece of chicken for $12. The service is great, meals within came out under 5 minutes.
First room I had had been broken into and there was an incredibly strong septic smell coming from the bathroom, spoke to the office and they changed my room which fixed the smell at least... The room I had was absolutely tiny and for a broad 6ft guy it almost felt clostraphobic. Meals were decent and service was overall not terrible but not exactly warm either. Newman itself has some serious issues with things being stolen so beware you bring your car in at your own risk.
Room was comfortable , pity about room service knocking on door at 7am Most of the staff were great , once more pity about the staff member beard & glasses that handles ice & lemon / lime by hand & doesn't care when it was pointed out I know its a mining town , but $10 for a stubbie of Carlton Dry is a bit steep
We asked for a family room, but opted to just have our 8yr old sleep with us, and the bub in her porta-cot. This was thier recommendation, but it turned into a problem at check in by what seemed to be the managerRooms: 2/5
Had a lovely dinner at Newman Hotel tonight, snapper, becoming, gnocchi as well as the flat bread with cocktails. Love all the staff and busy which is great to see. Ice cream sundae was also a winner.
Staff are always nice and friendly and helpful, The rooms are hit and miss. Very noisy, don’t stay here if you are working nightshift, especially E block, even though the cleaners try and be quiet when cleaning other rooms. Omg super noisy still. Need to keep a close eye on your washing, the locals like to help them selfs to you washing, not all the machines work, sometimes it’s a struggle to get a machine and a dryer. The meals are good, lunches are good, can’t complain about it at all really,
I try and get the G rooms out the back which has off street parking so you can go straight into the room which is convenient for me. Rooms are modern and clean. Maintenance could be a bit more of a priority. Have had to bring up issues with them on almost every stay.Rooms: 3/5

Spacious, reasonable priced hotel with infrastructure that perfectly cools down the rooms rock walls. Lovely staff and the sound proof of the rooms was to a high quality. The bar is very nice and the food is good quality and quantity.
