At Punky Brewster, we've searched high and low to find New Zealand's best micro-breweries in order to curate a range of quality beers for what is to be Ōtautahi's first craft beer fillery.

Our mission is to join the beer revolution; for taste, and for culture. Our premises gives people the chance to taste and learn about beer before filling up a few litres to take home and enjoy.

What a beer selection! So many options in bottle, can or 1.25/2 L riggers. The staff are hugely knowledgeable. Really makes it clear how the craft beer industry in New Zealand is being supported by such dedicated specialists that allow wider public access. Also anything on tap is samplable which is great for those who don't quite know what they are looking for.

Where to start? From the eclectic hanging plants to the staff themselves, you know you're somewhere special in Christchurch. Offering beer, cider, gin and a good chinwag. The staff will happily direct you to the best tasting beer or cider you're likely to ever have and it's mostly locally produced by like minded craft beer makers. They do limited run speciality beers as well your regular pilsners but with something special to really make it stand out. If you're a fan of beer, or even just something different pop in and have a yarn with the great staff.

Fantastic selection of beers on tap and in bottles and cans. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The best fillery in Christchurch, if not the whole of NZ.

Great selection of craft beers, take your empty vessels as they will fill anything - take your wallet out too as the selection is excellent but not cheap.
