Rude staff/beautiful setting. ...here's an idea: smile and say hello when a customer walks in, would be a good start. Would have stayed for dinner if it hadn't been for the sour faces and uncomfortable feeling.

Friendly staff. Nice environment. Looks like a place for everyone...families with kids, buddies catching up for some drinks and solo tourists like me. I ordered fish and chips which was ok. Beer is always good anyway. If you're around Punakaiki it's a good restaurant to stop by... they also have accomodation.

Great fast service and well priced menu. Steaks were top quality and the views were unbeatable

Great wee place to stop and enjoy friendly West Coast service. The lovely lady working today was a jack of all trades serving and cooking. We all ordered toasted sandwiches and they were fabulous. Best toasted sandwiches we have had in awhile.

Went and got fish and chips and it was absolutely tragic. Unbearable I wanted to drive back home and call the holiday short.

Absolutely terrible staff,never had anyone be so rude ! Starters and mains came out together which wasnt ideal, never had that happen before. Was going to stay for a few more drinks and dessert but wasnt going to give them anymore of my money .

Considering that this is a one wave town I was fully impressed.  The mussels were excellent and so was the smoked salmon.  Give it a try.

A great place to visit and stay. They have the best toasted sandwiches  we've ever tasted!! Great, friendly staff.
