Pukekohe Park used to be one of NZs greatest and most famous motorsport venues.nnUnfortunately its a pretty meh horse venue and always has been.nnI really hope that the owners realise that and have a re think before going far enough that it becomes impossible to save the racing circuit.nnMy hopes are very low though.
Visited the park for a Classic motorcycle meeting. Easy to find and plenty of parking free.nExcellent fields at the meeting but only one cafe operating which meant often long Que's.nNeeds an overpass to the inside of the track but no one willing to offer sponsorship to assist with cost and due to sea level an underpass is not an option.nGrandstand available for free.nVery hard to impossible to see all the track when racing is underway which is a pity.nGate staff were friendly knew their jobs and helpful.nNot far out of town so easy to gather supplies and the town has an excellent set of shops and eating venues.nExcellent racing was provided over the weekend.nThe organiser however ran out of most of the merchandise by lunchtime on the Saturday leaving the majority who attended on the Sunday without the opportunities to purchase shirts and other souvenirs. A lost opportunity for both the customer and the organisers.
Had such an awesome time, huge tragedy to be loosing this fantastic place Pukekohe Raceway is iconic, so much more could happen here complex has so much potential, a waste to use just for Horse racing.
Was great and had very nice food and big screen so you could see the cars we they were to fair away to see them.
This is that private but I am very sad that the pukekohe v8 super cars are not going to be in pukekohe any more longer for the 20225 or 20226 and all of those dates for in pukekohe super cars track in pukekohe and I am going to missed the sound and maybe the smell of all of the v8 Supercars in pukekohe .
