About

Propeller is the new kid on the block in North Freo. Come for a coffee early morning, a pizza at lunch, a Levantine feast at dinner. See you soon!

Story

Propeller has been established in an old bus mechanics shed built on what used to be the botanical garden for the former North Fremantle Town Hall.

Predominantly an outdoor venue adjacent a small park, our aim is to become the “village square”. A place where people come to eat, drink and have good conversation. We are fully licensed with capacity for 150 patrons.

Split over a number of different sections, Propeller offers both indoor and outdoor dining. We will take bookings whilst always keeping enough seats for walk-ins.

Our Chef, Kurt Sampson, heads up the kitchen team. His food is inspired by the flavours of North Africa, Spain and the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East regions.

Lovely set menu of an Iranian theme the night we were there. I would bottle up the pomegranate walnut sauce from the quail and eat that every day! The cocktails were great too.
Highly recommended for tasting menu, it is chef’s choice, but full of goodness in 3 course. Not a dodge one! The restaurant let you experience what they offer to customer! Number one in Fremantle area. Good customer service with relaxed and proper hospitality manner. It is a must place! No doubt for one hat for good!
Lovely service and cool digs. We got the chefs tasting menu at $69. The food is good, authentic, lots of bread. We only received a few entrees and one mince meat main before they asked if were full. We said no and they seemed surprised. Came back with much higher quality food which made it value for money. Interesting experience....

Over about 5 visits this place has consistently delivered. A fantastic original menu which had us excitedly googling ingredients and dishes. We ordered 6 between us and everything was a delight. Love the space and the staff are friendly, attentive and professional. We will keep coming back.
Great casual spot for lunch or dinner. The sommelier was very helpful, and the Mediterranean food was fabulous. Would have been nice to have a few more vegetarian options.
The venue ambience was relaxing and decor felt just right. The Chef’s Menu easy to understand and faithful to Middle Eastern dishes you might have heard of but never tried before. The jewelled rice in particular was inspired and something I will try at home. The chocolate tart elegantly bittersweet.
Outstanding food and staff . Went with my mother and father for my mum birthday she loves the food as well. I really enjoyed the bread salad. 5/5 will be back. Going to try lunch. :
