I went to this school my whole primary school, heres my experience: - They did not teach enough math, im now in learning support because they couldn't teach at all. -The only good teacher was Toni, but she should go to a better school and actually get paid instead of $5 an hour. - English was fine, didn't do enough however. -Projects and Provocations was an okay idea, but you can't expect kids to get that much done when given free time. -some kids were annoying as hell but the school can't really control that ALTHOUGH they could definetly improve it more. - WHat that one teacher said to those girls who did the ally run at the end was hella funny and you should definetly up his pay -only reason i didn't leave was because they don't do homework and i liked my friends
This school is very bad . Let me elaborate this school has zero priority over learning and don’t focus on the core subjects like English math and there is no science department. This school has some of the worst staff imaginable the leadership esme is very old and shouldn’t be making desicions on the new gen because it so far away from their childhood. Some other reviews are saying that people experienced racisim and let me just say that was true one of my closest buddy’s was called a “dyslexic goldfish” by a member of staff and the member of staff for no reprocusions. This school also has a mostly female teacher base which is something that might be important to decide when sending your kid here. This school is also got a very bad teaching system swaying away from the curriculum and if your student isn’t already very intelligent or above average I recommend either getting a tutor or sending him to a different school such as somewhere in Brunswick. Now to end this of with a bang I will say that I have been at this school for 9 years two in kindergarten and even though I was one of “the smart kids” and I was treated pretty well by the teachers I still noticed poor treatment to some less fortunate students. Well enough ramballing on -Anonomys
Ok let me get started, 2017 Prep, I would say this was the best year at this school no exclusion Forshadowing and I had the best teacher Maddy she was so nice! Overall A great year. Year one, Kate... She hated me because I was different. And would exclude me. Aimed her anger at me, And helped me develop social anxiety. Thanks Kate Year two, The most horrid year, Kate acted like she lived with me when I shared something she would disagree like She was my mother?! What the hell?! The Scariest thing is that she would stare at me like I killed her child and she needs revenge. Year three, The most uneventful year, Simon helped me all the way through thank you. Year four, The escape, the first time I talked to Esme She's like 90 at the time I wrote this I left after this year and I went to an undisclosed school. The years afterwards, I learnt more than the five years I spent at Princes Hill for the last two years of primary school and improved my mental health. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL THERE ARE BETTER SCHOOLS.
most racist school, do not recommend if you have colored skin. Teachers will do anything their power to get you suspended/ introuble just because they dont like you. education is horrible, i didnt know my times tables untill year 4 when i left the school
school is really as I dint know my times tables until i was in year 4 school is horrible teachers treat you horrible and eseme needs to Dont reccmoned this school go a nursing home please and thank you and all of need to reteire becuase they are horror teachers
Honestly this school doesn't really focus on core subjects like maths and english. The school focuses more on learning with an open mindset. The teachers expect you to know everything even though they never taught you it. I do have many great memories from this school but wouldn't recommend.
After 8 years at PHPS one spent in the kindergarten I made many good friends, learnt a fair amount and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The teachers and staff are / were I graduated last year... I think amazing. The teachers are supportive, kind and understanding when someone needs extra help or support. The school doesn't have the best maths or spelling program - as I learned in year 7 - but I could catch up easily. The classes like library, Italian, sport etc. are nice breaks from core things. The way of teaching is different from other schools and everyone is so welcoming even if you join 1/2 way through the year. I loved being able to wear whatever I wanted as well but also having no given homework. Amazing school! Would highly recommend!
I have no current affiliation with or am I in communication with this school whatsoever. Still, after reading so many of the reviews and seeing the comments made by the schools own students, it's made me feel inspired so much, to the extent, that I feel as if inspired by the heavens themselves, to become a teacher, the students seem to enjoy their school truly, they take pride in it which 100% makes me think they are happy, but more importantly, they are effectively learning! I would love to be able to contribute to such a well-regarded institution, but not one of widespread renown by the parents and educators alone, but most importantly that of the kids. Consider some options that may be available to me please, thank you.
I attended this school from 2002 to 2004 , initially it was hard to fit in but as time went on I made some really good friends the teachers were very friendly and encouraging
I go to this school as a 5th - nearly 6th grader - and love it here, it is a lovely open and fun school that mixes fun with leaning to help us engage in our learning. Highly recommend!! :
