Only a short drive from New Plymouth, and top views over the city and surrounds. You have the whole house to yourselves and there's a lovely bath house overlooking the bush and city. We went for a family get-together but it is also ideal as a romantic getaway or the base for bush or mountain walks. Rooms: 2 x double rooms and 1 x twin; very comfortable. Nearby activities: Right next to the National Park and the start of the Mangorei Track / Pouakai Crossing. Walkability: Bush walks in the paddocks around, or up the Mangorei Track.
Absolutely gorgeous cabin in the bush. It felt very private and the bathtub was amazing. They have a new walking track which is fantastic to explore the native bush. Sooo many Tuis in the flax flowers in front of the cabin. We didn’t want to leave, so will just have to go back!Rooms: 5/5
Totally awesome spot and cabin secluded in the woods. It surpassed our expectations and was a delightful place to stay. We want to go back!!

This was the most amazing cabin to spend time in. the cabin is a tranquil & private unique little hidden hide away..... Thank you to Desiree &Mike for creating this amazing cabin...... A must stay in Taranaki A++++
Probably one of the best huts I have visited its quite well maintained, with a good view and isn't a very far walk considering the views

Great relaxing place :-. A bit rustic but create a nice atmosphere. The hot tub is fantastic, and the breakfast was delicious.
Simple accommodation or tea stop. Bring your own. Great view after good walk
