I really like the atmosphere and decor of this place. We sat on a table on the lawn in the sun and it was great. The beer selection was great too. When we arrived about 130pm, we were told there was no space for walk-ins at the restaurant, luckily I had made a booking that morning. The place didn’t even seem that full though. The staff were also up front and said it would be an hour wait for food, which was a bit annoying. Once the food came it was delicious, however my schnitzel could have been bigger for the price. I hope this pub can get some more staff in the kitchen so the meals can come out faster because that is the only missing link I can see at this stage. I hope it improves because I would come here every weekend. Would also like to see some live music or acoustic musicians maybe on weekends to add to the chill atmosphere.
Went with a group of friends. It was okay. Two of us are celiacs and had the gluten free cheeseburger. We both described it as okay. Not overly tasty but okay. The rest of our group described the burgers the same way but the chips were good. Band on tonight was not bad and the drinks were about what you would expect. Parking and amenities are good and the staff were friendly and helpful.
We came here for breakfast and dinner a couple of times and loved every meal. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food was EXCELLENT! Highly recommended for families if you were silly enough to bring the kids along on your wine tasting weekend like us!
Had lunch here recently, all I can say is great food and great value! The Chef and his staff create tasty and interesting dishes. In the Hunter? visit The Mighty Hunter you won't be disappointed!
We have been going to the Restaurant for the last 3 years as we love the ginger and chilli beer from the brewery so we look forward to incorporating the two. Unfortunately the menu has changed and we found the food really average, we can get this food at any local pub. Please bring back the slow cooked pork.
What a magnificent Hotel. So much room and so much choice for dinner. Live music was just fantastic and the place had a great feel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Joel the Manager looked after us and I can't thank him enough. Such a great experience. Thankyou. We'll be ba back..
Mighty disappointed, went there for dinner, the first time since the change. Not sure what theme they are going for but it is bland and confused. Something between the old Coles cafeteria and MacDonald's. Food was basic. We had the Sirloin, which was full of grisle and very thin. Won't be going back, very disappointing. Loved the Potters Tavern, don't know why they have destroyed it.
I unfortunately was disappointed by the service and the meal. We ordered a chicken chicken snitzel made into a Parma. My partner forgot to ask for my mushroom sauce although he was also not asked by the waiter, even though the menu says "choice out of pepper or mushroom sauce". We asked a woman waiter for a pot of mushroom sauce, and a lady rudely told us to go back to the bar, pay for it because we forgot. We ordered and had to pay $2.50 for literally a table spoon of mushroom sauce. On top of that chicken parmigiana was nothing special, dry chicken, and rude service don't make for a good experience. Personally wouldn't recommend.
Good value daily lunch specials for $15 plus $5 for a wine or brewski. Good vibes with tables inside or outside on the patio. Adjacent to Foghorn Brewery with lots of beer options.
We had the parmy and the beef special for dinner and it was as delicious as any city hipster place. Beer and spirit selection outstanding. Service great and atmosphere busy and buzzing.
