"Marrickville Post Office was constructed by Messrs Graham and Mercer for £2,197 and opened in April 1891. It was added to the Australian Commonwealth Heritage List on 22 August 2012.The original building included a post office, residence and telegraph office. Extensive alterations were made to the rear single-storey portion in c.1960, and an addition was also built to the rear of this wing. The post office is now located towards the rear of the building and a café occupies the original postal hall.The current Post Cafe wants to preserve and celebrate the heritage of this building and keep it a bustling space, serving up great food, coffee and lots of smiles!"

The food was great, if a little pricey, as there's a huge range all prepped nicely. And the coffee is good, but not great. The only reason I wouldn't give this 5 stars is because when I was there the table I was sitting at was very sticky. It's a also a lovely building, and they pay attention to how they arrange it.
New and different menu. Good variety of choices - all seems delicious so it was hard to make a decision. Some unique items on menu too. Friendly and attentive staff. Relaxed and comfortable ambience. A good spot for social catch ups.
Food and coffee are both so well-prepared and delicious. Great vegetarian options. Staff is attentive and friendly. New owners have done a great job in revamping the menu and bringing something different to Marrickville. Well done guys, will be back.

Yummy food, just a heads up that their ‘popcorn chicken’ is just nuggets and they have a no kids meals served to adults policy which is ridiculous. Staff can be a bit unfriendly if there are lots of customers, other than that delicious
Under new management. The Espresso Brothers, also at Marrickville Metro, are now running the cafe. Expect their usual fast, efficient and friendly service. The menu has plenty of options and as usual is great quality food at a reasonable price.
