Large hotel with huge indoor and outdoor dining areas. We visited on a busy Sunday afternoon. We sat outside to enjoy the view of the Bay. Also watched a wedding in the garden. The menu is fine for a large hotel and ordering and service is efficient. There is an excellent selection of beers. Not a bad place to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Just a pub. No changes allowed when you order a meal. Are you joking. I am the customer. If you order a steak you should be able to get it cooked as you like it. Go to Sorento pub for a better experience.

We came as a group of 8. I ordered the salt and pepper squid. It was soggy and the salad was just rocket with some red onion. 2 others ordered the seafood platter special. They were told after meals were already coming out the it was unavailable. They weren't happy but changed their order. In total the group had burgers, pulled pork burger, muscles, pork chops and the prawn salad. The burgers were over cooked and the meat didn't have enough fat in it to make them juicy. The Pork chop was dry, the muscles didn't have any flavour to them. The prawn salad was quite good. We used to come here and used to love it. For the location I'll come back but won't eat here again.

Shame on the Portsea Hotel for cancelling weddings for renovations between May and November. The couples only found out LAST WEEK via email. One couple has to find a new venue and reinvent their wedding in just ONE MONTH. My best friend has only five months. Those who have planned weddings before will know how difficult it is to book wedding venues less than a year in advance. You have ruined so many plans. Not just in terms of the venue, but also flowers, decorations, catering, accommodation, invitations... Disgraceful behaviour, Portsea Hotel.

Yesterday spent a lovely afternoon at the beautiful, relaxing atmosphere of the heritage Portsea Hotel, Portsea bayside. Hadn't visited this location for many years , but it still has alot of charm, when I arrived it was quiet and I was served relatively quickly. Being a weekday visit was a treat for me at this particular Hotel, still open for accommodation. Seating was more than adequate wooden tables & chairs in the outdoor setting on the lawn with one umbrella, which was well secured for it was quite windy. The view is unchanged still very stunning and gorgeous was nice to see that it wasn't built up or obscured. A tasty lunch followed with quick service, friendly staff and calming atmosphere being at an open bay view.
