Beautiful jewellery that is fine quality and great value. Portobello has been my first choice for stunning and unusual jewellery pieces for years. The service is always exceptional and during my most recent visit Alexandra found a pendant piece in their extensive collection for me that I have completely fallen in love with! I have also built up a collection of good quality silver chains of various lengths and link styles to display my pendant collection. I get a lot of compliments and people asking where I got my jewellery which I am always happy to share.

I had a Pretty bad experience with this shop. I approached them to fix my broken ring. In a short amount of time it broke again, and they did not want to fix it yet said they could and mucked me around.  The owners refused to take responsibility. You would not expect to pay money to end up with a broken ring in the end, but in this shop it seems a norm. If they couldn’t fix the ring properly then they should have said so from the beginning, I would have appreciated that and would have gone somewhere else. Wasted my time and money to end up with a broken ring again.

Danielle was so amazing at finding the perfect pair of earrings for my friends 70th - nice to have some good old fashioned service. You won’t be disappointed.

Astral at Portobello was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. She helped my partner and I create the perfect engagement ring for me. She was very responsive whenever we had questions. She even helped to create a CAD design and prototype so that the ring would be exactly what I wanted. The ring turned out beautifully! Thank you so much to Astral and the team at Portobello.

I ordered something I designed for a birthday prez and it was amazingly created. They have great jewellery here and the staff are lovely. I have been a customer of this shop since I was 14 when the shop was called Portobello Lane and the arcade used to be called Moore Arcade and bought silver items from here when I was a schoolkid.

The service was very good, the employee was inviting. And ensured we where able to see every piece we would’ve wanted to. We where lucky enough to hear about the history of the piece after purchasing a pair of earrings which where exactly what we where looking for.

After looking at many Jewellers in Ashburton, it didn't take long to know Portobello was the right shop to visit. The engagement ring was magnificent. We have also purchased our wedding bands from Portobello. If you are looking for a ring, kindly visit this store!!
