Full disclosure I didn’t stay at the hotel, so I gave rooms 5 star because I couldn’t say N/A. But I ate there and it was great! Really great. Exceeded our expectations. It was really busy, the first room was full, second room full, then there was a third room also where we managed to get a spot for our table of 5. They made it clear from the outset there’s a 45 minute wait, all good, but they got us our shared entree within 15 minutes. The place was so packed, and the employees were pumping out the food, and when it came out they were all so good!
Pub was referred to us by our accommodation as a nice meal to try whilst staying in town. But be sure to book a table. We tried the first night and only had outdoor seating or the option of take out. We opted to try again another night. Should have gotten the take out as the meals were delicious compared to other dining we tried elsewherenWe ended up booking online to a late table on our last night in town. Ordered the pork belly bites and Mexican cornspecial for entree - they were huge servings!nFor main I had the fresh flake and chips/salad and my partner ordered the specials wage beef steak and said it was bl***y delicious! Even I was spewing I didn’t order the steak and I NEVER order steak out! haha.nWe were both too full for dessert but overall the experience was lovely. Would recommend to anyone who wants a nice meal in town for dinner. We wish we had tried more days there in order to sample other items!
Bloke behind the bar had the personality of an undertaker. Beer was cold, fire was warm. Didn’t eat there as the meals were out of our price range. Seating ordinary. The usual loud music as in most place that seemingly is only there for the staff
We stopped in Port Campbell on spec and noticed the Pub on the way to our motel. We were lucky and got a table right by the fire.nWe all ordered the schnitzel one plain, one Parma and another Aussie Parma, all with veggies.nThe meals were bloody awesome. Huge servings, so if you’re not a big eater you might want to consider sharing. Service was very good also.
Had a fantastic meal at top end but reasonable prices, 20 meals all served together. Drinks were good too, staff were busy but still friendly. Old building with lots of old photos and nostalgia. Always love having a meal and drink here.
