Had booked another restaurant for the night but after reading the reviews changed to Poppi Tino.. and what a smart decision that was. From the moment we were welcomed with a warm greeting we knew we made the right choice. We timed it perfectly for happy hour with some top notch and full strengthncocktails… but our night really shone with two things… the quality of the food and the exemplary service… the attached photos showcase the food however we were really impressed with the staff… that’s what sets this spot above and beyond and the complimentary limoncello that tasted as if it was blended in the Amalfi Coast.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the team. The ambience was inviting, the service attentive, and the food absolutely delicious. We ordered mains and drinks, all of which were beautifully prepared and full of flavour. We also noticed a number of families dining in, which speaks to the restaurant’s suitability for larger gatherings and family dinners. A special mention to our hostess, who was exceptionally friendly and made us feel right at home.
Absolutely amazing restaurant!nPoppi Tino in Caddens is hands down one of the best! The food is always incredible — fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The service is outstanding, and the staff are always so lovely, welcoming, and attentive. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making every visit feel special. Excellent hospitality, amazing food, and genuinely kind people — highly recommend!
Actually wish this place was more bustling but hoping it will when the new homeowners come through.nnUsually for italian I go to Leichardt or Summer Hill but im pleased to say that Poppi Tino equally served and will be coming back.nnPenne Chicken Pesto and Poppi Tino pizza was sooo yum!!!
My boyfriend and I recently dined here on Saturday 15th February and didn't have a great experience. We waited 50 minutes for our food, a chicken boscaiola and a medium rare steak. When these meals came out the steak was looking more blue than medium rare. When we told our server she offered to cook it up however after waiting nearly an hour my boyfriend was starving and didn't want to wait another 10 minutes. The manager then came over and attempted to convince us that the steak was in fact medium rare, however if you look at the photo attached any person can see that this is not true and quite unbelievable that he saw nothing wrong with the steak. It was that undercooked that the centre was cold, and seeing as it was only on the pan for a minute of 2 we didn't understand how it took 50 minutes to come out. After this we were offered free lemonchello shots however the whole restaurant was offered this. To top it off we went to pay for the bill and our bill had already been paid off by another table so it took 10 minutes for the manager to redo that. There was also a couple beside us who ordered dessert and after 20 minutes of waiting walked out because of the wait on food. I have been to this place before and really enjoyed it however after this experience and the lack of effort made by the staff to make our experience better, I will not be returning. The only good thing about this night was how lovely all the girl staff were. I also have to say the pasta was delicious, it was just very disappointing with the steak.
