What a wonderful experience!! I entered without any knowledge and I left with my mind full of history and not empty handed either! I did a tour and I had the chance to be by myself with the guide. She was so nice, she took her time to explain everything to me with passion and a big smile.nI even got the chance to do my own first print with her help.nThank you so much you know how to share your aroha for this history with us!nnHope to come back in the future,nPauline
I did a guided tour and it was a wonderful experience. I learned so much and was fascinated by the Mission’s work. My tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and courteous — our hour together flew by as she spoke about Pompallier and answered my questions. I now understand why Queen Elizabeth included the printery in her visit to Russell years ago!
Such an amazing experience. The guided tour of the printery and the self guided garden walk were amazing. The history and architecture are so beautiful. The cafe and gift shop also had some great goodies.
Very interesting part of NZ history. Well preserved and presented. The staff are lovely and the guided tour was informative. I’d recommend avoiding the 10am first tour in the slow season as they open just after 10 and you risk having a very short experience - get in after 10:30 and do the 11am tour instead :
A must do. It's a 1 hour guided tour, but Julie, our guide was really good. We learnt so much thanks to her, it was so interesting, and the time went by so fast. If you come to Russell you have to come here.
