The food is great. It's probably the best Mexican I've had in Sydney. When you first sit down they bring you a small basket of corn chips and salsa which is a nice surprise. The beef dishes are super tender and extremely tasty. The decor is old and dated but adds that authentic charm to the place. The staff are really friendly and helpful.
This is one of the worst Mexican restaurants/restaurants we have ever eaten at. The food was BLAND and the margaritas were absolutely horrible. Sent the drinks back and they refused to replace them with something that was at least drinkable. I have never had a margarita taste that bad. Not sure how they screwed it up so bad since it only has 3 ingredients plus ice! The service was horrible also. You could tell that the waitstaff didn’t really want to be working. Table was sticky and menus were filthy. Don’t even want to give this place one star! Don’t waste your money or time here. Mad Mex is even a better option than this place and it will cost you half as much.
Second time going to this wonderful Mexican restaurant and it was as lovely as the first time! Had a beef chimichurra meal and it was absolutely delicious. Ordered a jug if sangria between 2 and the size is extremely generous for the price! Staff are attentive and nice. Great location, wonderful place to go before or after a movie at the Randwick Ritz. I do suggest booking a table as they fill up fast!
Sorry to say but it was one of the worst Maxican food I would have had so far. We are vegetarians and usually with Maxican you cannot go wrong but we did first time!!!!! We ordered Veg Fajitas double serve and single serve. All the veges were over cooked and mushy could not eat at all. It was quite pricey too !!! At the end when we informed staff they said only sorry that's it. We had specially come down to Eastern Suburbs from hills to have a good food but unfortunately it was really disappointing. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Pretend you are a dog and enjoy. This is a horrible dining experience and when you ask not to pay, they refuse. The food is pretty much the worst food I've ever had. The disservice is expected. Just be careful people, even the margarita is questionable on its ingredients. Spend your money here if you enjoy throwing your 'hard earned' away. Oh, and when you ask for vegetarian, they serve meat.
I have no idea how anyone is giving this place more than 2 - the food is so average. It's Mexican for dear sake, not rocket science!! Yet they make it seem as if it must be so complex, as they just fail..... we had nachos, quesadilla and sangria and there was quite simply nothing noteworthy in any of them. They are such easy dishes/drinks so it's sad. On a positive note the staff were excellent and happy and positive and do their best! I feel for them !
Food and service were average. Good tequila shots though. It's a place where unpleasantly yelling crowds could dine in right next to you, so I would not advise it as a dining place for a 101 conversations with your dear friend.
Love this place. The wings alone would make me give them 5 stars but everything I get in there tastes amazing. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is great. I have nothing negative to say about this place. Best Mexican I’ve had in Sydney.
Terrible food. Average service. Bathrooms were dirty with broken urinals. Tables weren't clean. Menus sticky and unclean. Food was very average, it was like going back in time. Mexican pre mix packets from Coles would have been a better option. Sorry but very disappointed, I'm not sure how places like this survive. Certainly doesn't help lift the quality of the food in the spot. If you are serious about having a restaurant then show you care about what you give people to eat.
I had to cater for a birthday celebration at home. I rang Poco's, they were very helpful in organising a suggested order, there was ample food for everyone, it was delicious and they were even kind enough to deliver to my house. Highly recommended by me.
