I'm glad our family did not go out and buy a boat, the club has been terrific looking after us. We have been members for two years and our favourite boats we use is the Riviera's. always clean and wants great we have no maintenance costs or mooring costs. We have had no issues carrying points over at all. Sharing a boat is such a good idea as we could not afford to go boating otherwise.
A Bunch of unprofessional, Cheaters and dodgy individuals , be very careful dealing with them!!!! NOT RECOMMENDED!!! Terrible service, unprofessional staff, do remember not to pay the bond with your Card, their staff will come up with all dodgy excuses to charge you the bond. They would have ten days to blame you for any damage that occurred even after you handed the boat back. I took their small boat just for one hour and did the mistake of paying bond with my credit card. When I returned the Boat, their team did the inspection and confirmed everything is good and bond would be credited back to your account in few days. After couple of days when I asked them to release the bond back, they started coming up with stories and said, bond will be charged for the damages that you have incurred. In response to the owner comment below, I am just attaching some screenshots of the transaction done by pleasure cruising debiting my account plus emails from the staff acknowledging the issue and trying to offer me a very little compensation without returning my bond money. The owner has now been asking me to take down my reviews in exchange for refund of my bond, I will be able to provide the whole email thread if need be. And regarding compensation comment from the owner, it is my right to ask for compensation for all this frustration and any legal costs associated and it could go up if I have to spend more time and resources on this. If the company feels it was a mistake by their staff, I would accept the apology with bond refund and compensation and would be able to forgive them and would be keen to help them on this. Todays update is, I have got my bond money back, as my bank was able to refund it as a disputed transaction so I dont need to pursue any compensation anymore, as I'm frustrated of their attitude and I will not want to use their services. memberships or anything at all in future.
Very bad experience few years ago, all was good until we run out of time to use our points. Our time expired but we were not able to use the boats only because of the weather conditions, we were cancelled few times by wind, etc .therefore, the company, especially the director Mr Garry Freeman benefited of an extra 2-3 thousand dollars ! We tried to explain and reasoned with Garry, but very rudely we were told NO. We left the boats always in an immaculate condition, always better than how we received them.
Edit review One of Melbourne's best experiences 5 out of 5, reviewed on Jan 24, 2018 I have now been a member of Pleasure Cruising for 2 years and have just upgraded my membership to their new boat THE BOSS. My time at the club has been most rewarding for myself and family and also the number of new friends we have acquired over the past 2 years. From the beginning, obtaining our Boat Licence, the training provided and the whole initial boating experience has been nothing but professional and with the minimum of fuss. The club has trained professional Skippers that are available to accompany members out on fishing trips and further training and orientation. Just recently we had a day on the bay and returned with a number of large Snapper and Calamari. We have also used a Skipper to take us to Flemington Race Course for Derby Day, a truly memorable day. Last year during our Christmas break we took our boat over to Martha Cove, had lunch at a Winery on the Mornington Peninsular and stayed the night. As a time poor business owner, Pleasure Cruising ticks all the boxes for us, I couldn’t recommend the club highly enough.
The best way to enjoy the bay! Hassle free boating with fantastic service from Gary and the team. Great for family, friends and clients. We even trailered one of their boats up to the Gippsland lakes which was a really fun weekend escape.
was a member for 12 months at Pleasure cruising Club. My experience was mixed until I cancelled my membership and it all went down hill. I signed up for 12 months and spoke with the club in October 27 2016, they advised me that I would require to give written notice with 90 days - So I provided them with the notice in writing. They kept harassing me sending me invoices and trying to get me to agree to renew and I told them I couldn't agree to it and I would have to speak to my accountant to even considering signing on again. They kept harassi ng me by Calling + texting + Emailing. I ended up cancelling my credit card so they could no longer charge me past January as my membership was finalising on 27th of January 2017. Now they are denying that they received my cancellation and the General Manager told me he will "Sue my ass and bankrupt me" and take me to the federal court for defeat on and will "roll me". Even went as far as telling me that it will cost me $10K to just appear at federal court and he will "ruin me". I am just a normal consumer and do not have millions of dollars to defend such action. This conduct is absolutely unconscionable and I would strongly recommend against anyone considering joining this unprofessional organisation.
What an experience to remember! Gary and the crew were very accommodating. Fast response after enquiry. Would go back again for another trip. The Voodoo was such a nice boat. Thank you so much Pleasure Crusing Club.
