It's always hard moving to a new city and finding a great family doctor is even harder still but I was so lucky to have met Dr Anthony Whittle. So caring and attentive. Reception staff were so friendly as well. Thank you so much for the great service.
My wife and myself moved from Perth to Cairns back in 2014. We did have an excellent GP in Perth and were wondering how we would get on in this new City. Well we have been very lucky in finding Dr Sue Swanston who even surpasses our good doc back in Perth. Dr Sue is a fantastic GP who goes the extra yards to ensure you get good health outcomes and genuinely cares about her patients. We cant speak highly enough about Dr Sue, we thank her for professionalism and understanding. We also would like to say how great the office girls are in Jenna and Kelly who also just go the extra yards to provide a quality service...you make it a good experience. I have been seeing Dr Chris Goodall for around ten years after being referred by a friend And he is 'The Best, Most understanding Doctor I have' Ever met! I wouldn't see another Doctor except the Specialists he has sent me to. A Really Nice Man!!
I am extremely frustrated with dr Swanson, we were off to a good start bc she dared to physically examined me on our first consultation, which is rare here, as gps generally dont want to touch you. Unfortunately, all my hopes with her and her medical competency completely vanished within 4 weeks. For starters, she knew not much about LGS, gave me incomplete advice about a low lectin diet when the problem was oxalates! As for my chronic, extreme polyneuropathy pain I was told to buy a book on Amazon about back pain! I have no back pain! For 2 weeks, she was pleasant and understanding, unfortunately a week ago she told me she would send a script to Whole Health Pharmacy for a specific pain killer, to be compounded. I have been waiting for this script since Thursday, 6 days ago. Today, she informs me by phone, that she wont write the script now, because its outside the guidelines in her books. This new medicine i informed her, about is used for depression and chronic pain, prescribed by psychiatrists, anesthesists, and gps alike! I dont know where she read that it could only be given to cancer patients. This is untrue! Even if she read that, the medication could always be prescribed off-label! After all its only a NASAL SPRAY! What is the problem? Why couldnt she have told me that on Thursday, instead of wasting my time and money. I have been in extreme nerve pain, all over my body, for 5 days, another weekend ruined for me! All I had for relief was what she suggested, Pregabalyn 300mg that she had upped from 150mg. That drug does absolutely nothing for my pain, instead i have hallucinations of strong vivid colors when i close my eyes! That can be verified by nursing aids that come to my house 2 hrs 6 days a week! Since Monday, i was told by the receptionist that the problem was that dr Swanson could not get in touch with the compound pharmacist bce they repeatedly missed one another. That was the problem i was told... Thank you so much, dr Swanson for yr troubles! I do not require your services anymore. You are another one of the long list of gps who promise to help but dont deliver! Extremely disappointed patient.
From my first visit many years ago, I was blown away. My family feel very cared for every visit! Dr Chris Goodall is so knowledgeable, lovely, & his Staff rock too!
Careful considerate and professional. Four doctors, a reg nurse, a blood test in the premises and all major xrays etc directly opposite. Sincerely recommended
Doctor Chris is the best! Being seeing him for 12 years! Couldn't fault him in any way
