* We deal in the STUFF YOU CANT FIND because the chain store didn't have it and the kid who works there part time has no idea what you're talking about.

*WE KNOW THE STUFF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT! We're full time at this. If it's not in our shop, and it's ever existed, we can get it for you. If you live out of town, we can mail it to you.

*Come into our store, we have thousands of titles in stock and we cycle material constantly, so there's always something that you haven't seen before.

*WE ALSO BUY YOUR STUFF. Clear out the DVDs and CDs you don't want any more and free up some room and get instant money out of it.

Don't even know where to start. Abundant collection of films and music, huge diversity in what's on offer, my only complaint is I lose all self restraint when I'm flicking through your shelves. In particular I appreciate the rich collection of heavy music on vinyl, but lately I'm finding as much joy in the film sections too.
This store is fantastic! I always find gems on DVD & CD. There is so much here that won't be found on streaming services. The staff are always helpful & approachable. The store is always clean and easy to navigate. It's my favourite store in Melbourne CBD.
Great selection of DVDs and CDs with their vinyl selection growing all the time. A small selection of music biographies and comics is worth monitoring. If you need to find a beloved or obscure movie, start here.
In a world of fast, rapid change. One of obsolence and pursuit of the newest thing or technology, this shop is a godsend. Sometimes JB-Hi-Fi just is not able to scratch that itch when it comes to the perfect dvd's. But this place manages it everytime I have bought many a dvd here, and they also have band t shirts, CD's, Vinyl, some of it original, and laserdisc if you feel that way inclined.
Pretty pricey sometimes but if you're willing to spend its a really good and comprehensive film collection and stuff. So shoutout I guess. Needs more Drake CDs
A place to browse for rare and unusual CDs you won't find in other retailers. Recommended.
I have been going here for years and years!! The guys are so friendly and very helpful. You can always have a quick chat while they whizz round grabbing the discs for your purchases. BTW Reggae, Reggae, Reggae and Reggae!!! I'm happy!!

If you're a film or music buff this spot has it all, I had no intention of buying when I went in unless something at the top of my want list popped up & they did! Cult, horror, anime, art house, world cinema all very well represented & layed out.
I never post reviews, but I feel like my experience definitely warrants breaking that trend.  Out of desperation, I got in touch with Play to see if I could get a hold of an out-of-print DVD boxset. I was advised they didn't have it available, but they could take down my details in case they managed to track one down. Cynically, I didn't believe it would actually come to anything... Less than a month later though, my expectations were defied in the best way; I was notified they had sourced the boxset, and would offer it at a much lower price than I'd thought to boot. I finally went in today to pick it up and the team were very friendly and professional. I'm really terrible at remembering names, but you know who you are. Thank you so much for going above and beyond. I will definitely be dropping in again to have a proper browse the next time I'm in the city. I cannot commend this business highly enough.
