Went here for breakfast, found portions generous. Ordered two different flavours of Avocado smash and Chai latte between me and my wife. Relished our Breakie to the last bite. Chai latte was awesome too!! I never expected the little play area in the corner with Legos to keep the little ones engaged. Extra star for the play area if it wasnt there i would have given 4 stars as this place needs cleaning especially near the windows. Agreed there is construction going on for the railway crossing and the owners have tried to give old rustic loom to the cafe but that doesnt mean that the windows and seats near windows are kept so dirty that you have to go and wash your hands everytime you touch them.
Friendly prompt service and great food. We shared 3 dishes: Chilli scramble had just the right level of heat and the bread was a little chewy; big breakfast had heaps of meat and they were caramelised beautifully; Benedict came with yummy pumpkin though to be honest it was boring in comparison to the other 2 dishes
So I went here for a coffee meeting this morning and put my coat on the back of my chair. When I went to leave, I noticed that the sleeve and side was wet .. it had been sitting in the water leaking from the fridge. Mentioned it to the girl behind the counter, who really gave absolutely no s#*ts and just handed me a cloth. I spent 10 mins trying to dry the coat with serviettes and cloth and she offered absolutely no help at all. The lady cleaner said 'sorry' but didn't assist in any way. The girl at the counter - No apology, nothing. I went to pay for the 2 coffees and she said nothing! Yes she charged me without acknowledging the damage to my coat which I will now have to have dry cleaned. Won't be going there again. Oh and the soy latte was mainly soy and very little coffee. Definitely not the best.
Wouldn't come back... I expect my drinks to come out before food. But absolutely not, food came out after 35 minutes on a quite day. Half the drinks then came out and when we got our milkshakes one was warm milk. Clearly others around us were not having a good experience either. Would not recommend to anyone.. was a disappointment to Carnegie would much rather had gone to spilt milk where service and quality is at such a high standard.
Really good coffee. Nice freshly cooked food. lots of good options even vegan. I have always been able to get a seat inside. Being next to skyrail is probably not good for business.
The food is poor quality , frozen and microwaved. The first time we ordered hamburger sliders, still frozen inside!!!Nothing fresh, portions are small and staff doesn’ t pay attention to your needs. When they can understand what I’ m saying , they seem bothered..The place is not hygienic, the table were so dirty and the bathroom was filthy, no toilet paper.Really?! Second and last time I went there. Also I witnesses the owner abuse workers. Shame on you!!. 0 !!
Luv the inner urban feel and décor... a hip place in suburbia! Great food & coffee etc... try the smashed avocado - with the lot... mm mmm! Staff are friendly & obliging. Has live jazz too... nice way to spend an evening or Sunday afternoon.
Used to be a great little local place with welcoming hosts that knew what they were doing... In the hands of the new caretakers, now a poor imitation of the past. Food not fresh, uncooked and appalling service... We are mourning the loss of a wonderful little local. See you never.......
Went to cafe and asked for a drink they where advertising and they didn't have it, asked for an ice chocolate and they said they ran out of ice-cream and it was not even a very busy day! However the layout of the cafe is very edgy and in. However nothing else was better than okay.
You could come here purely to eat with your eyes. Stunning rustic decor and beautifully presented dishes and drinks. Super friendly staff and delicious food is just the cherry on the cake.
