"I recently visited Plaka on the Beach and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The location of the restaurant is stunning, right on the beach with a beautiful view of the ocean. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and fresh, with a great selection of traditional khebab.I tried the chicken pizza as we ask for half vegetarian and half chicken. They easily accept our order as one of my friend is vegetarian and it was some of the best I've ever had. The portions were generous and the flavors were bold and authentic. In addition to the food, Plaka on the Beach also has a great bar selection with a variety of drinks and cocktails, which I found to be a nice touch. The drinks were well-made and nicely balanced. Overall, I would highly recommend Plaka on the Beach to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Visited "Plaka" on a friday, and I ordered the steak burger with the lot, atmosphere was top notch as you'd expect for scarborough. Food was good using fresh ingredients, Staff were happy and friendly. **Bird Alert** wildlife can be quite friendly. Parking can also be troublesome.
My wife and i had seafood platter which was fish, prawns, calamari and chips. My daughters had chicken kebabs. The fish was excellent, batter nice and thin, fish was beautiful, cooked really well. Calamari was ok, packet version. Prawns were also average, packet job. My girls loved their kebabs. I would recommend the fish and chips, stay clear of the packet stuff. People beside us had a brunch meal, bacon eggs, looked great. Service was great, place very clean. love I could get a beer here and wife had wine. Great location. Would come back again.

Popped in for a cooked breakfast, good location with views of the ocean. Service was fast and friendly. Food was reasonably priced, simple but tasty breaky. Nothing too fancy but good simple food.

Breakfast was OK, service polite and friendly, the worst burned coffee I've had in a long time. And you can't just make up the definitions of standard coffee variations, serving short coffees in long glasses drowned in milk.
Poor attitude in the staff, poor service, and they'll intentionally leave out things the menu says should be on the plate and that you've ordered. Demands you to pay extra, when it's their mistakes. Obviously rip off artist's, spend your money elsewhere somewhere more pleasant. Tried to bring something out to me after the fact, and my lodging of my complaint. No way was I going to have anything from that kitchen, given their rude and arrogant reception to me asking for my correct order.
And the staff at plaka are awesome. The food is amazing and staffs are really friendly and helpful. Very friendly for family with awesome range of menu. Price is reasonable in today’s economy.100% recommended. The best in Scarborough
