Place of Stones, a fun and welcoming restaurant located in the leafy suburb of Taringa. Delicious food and amazing service is our speciality!

Story

Place of Stones is a casual resturant and cafe open in Taringa 86 Whitmore St. We are known for our delicious pizzas and pastas.We're great for functions, including birthdays and other celebrations! Banquets are available for groups of 8 or more people, which allows you to try a bit of everything off our fantastic menu for only $22.95 per person. The restaurant is BYO only, so feel free to bring a bottle of wine or some beers to enjoy with your meal!

If dinner isn't your thing, everyone is loving our breakfast menu. Starting from 7am, come in and enjoy an Eggs Benedict or pancakes with our delicious Merlo coffee!

Happened to come across this place after looking around for places online. With 2 extreme ends of good and bad review, I thought it'll be best to just try it out for myself. In my humble opinion, I thought this was one of the better cafes I've tried in my trip so far, good service and great food. While food might be slightly pricer, but their serving of food is quite generous, and service staffs are quite prompt. This was one of the brunch place that my friends and i had decided on before heading to Lone Pines Sanctuary, and we all were glad that we decided on coming here fkr our breakfast : Will definitely return for more and probably try out their dinner menu
Place of stones is a small pizza joint tucked away in Taringa. It felt very cosy, and the pizza was divine. I had an excellent night, and now I'm keen to sample the breakfast goods!
Could not recommend this place enough!!! From entree, to main & dessert - everything was perfect. It is very evident that the food is freshly home made, honestly this is one of the best restaurants that I have been to in Brisbane. The portions are generous, the venue’s atmosphere is cozy, and it’s very easy to get a park. 10000% worth the visit !!
A good place for Sunday breakfast. Scrambled eggs and mushrooms are sufficiently different to anywhere else to be interesting. Give it a try! Note that they close strictly at 11 am and kick everyone out - most strange.Food: 4/5
Kim treats the guests like family and does an amazing job running the place. The food and coffee is out of this world AMAZING, hence why we come back every weekend. Not only that but service always comes with a smile. A must try is the garlic mushroom avo on breakfast menu, it'll blow you away.
Impromptu breakfast stop. The Spanish, and Asian eggs were both superb. Great coffee. It may not be on the main drag one of the attractions for me but it's well worth the diversion. Lovely suburban eating. Past experience tells us the dinners are excellent too!

Best hash browns I’ve ever had. Food is always amazing and coffee is delicious. Definitely recommend!!
The food was excellent. We all enjoyed every dish ordered. Will definitely return.
