Decided to try a suburban pizzeria last night and after reading the reviews we thought we would give Pizzeria Violetta a go. After all one review mentioned that this pizza was better than Julius in South Brisbane and another that it was the best pizza in Australia. On the plus side the waitstaff in very friendly and enthusiastic . Its an open kitchen so you can see whats going on. As far as the pizza goes, sorry its well short of the Julius product. It was undercooked and tasted doughy. Perhaps they were having a bad night. The litmus test that i use when reviewing a restaurant is…..would I go back? At this stage i might try a few more suburban pizzerias before i visit again. Should you try it…. Yes why not , yours could be perfectly cooked.
Hands down the BEST PIZZA in Brisbane. Do yourself a favour and come to this place. It is a literal institution. It is worth any drive. The dough is so soft and fluffy, yet with the right crisp on the outside... The toppings, cheese, salami/ham is of the finest quality and is FRESH. I love seeing them make the pizza in front of you, and particularly love the good vibe of the staff. I will be returning with all my friends. No hesitations at all. Thank you!
I’d go back for the calzone alone - the best I’ve had. In my opinion the pizza compares to Julius, Prova and Elementi. The dough is good, a strong thin base not super crispy but well coloured. The crust - enjoyable, chewy and certainly not dry, but not too puffy and not loaded with flavour. The highlight is the toppings. You can taste the quality and freshness in each bite, there is clearly work put into the selection and combination. Intriguing menu options as well. A nice cosy feel, arty pizza oven and very friendly staff.
Best pizzas in Brisbane. Indoor/Outdoor seating, casual and friendly service, good drinks, and BEST pizzas I've had in Australia!
Over rated and over priced but well presented, clean and fresh atmosphere. I did like it. Nice place.Nice peoples. Nice decor. But overall 3 stars because there are many other places with more value and also good pizzas. But this is a nicely marketed atmosphere. Nice little local pizzeria.
Lovely pizzas, but no atmosphere, very expensive and even worse, they advertised gluten free, but casually said they didn’t have any gluten-free bases. We had specifically chosen this place for that reason so it was disturbing to think that could happen. The service was not great either and you paid $7 for tap water! I’m not sure what the big deal is and definitely not planning to go back. There are plenty of other places that make good pizzas for less price and better service.
Have only got takeout once and only paid up to $15 per person which was surprisingly good for such an expensive area to live and buy restaurant and cafe meals. A small amount of parking and only one disabled parking wich people pinch. It's before roundabout in Wongabell Street off Marshall lane kenmore. They make all sorts of different types of pizza to accommodate different dietary needs and you can ask for something taken out or add extras for very small price. It's not really disabled friendly with a gutter to get ova and it with other shops on quiet a slope, almost hill. They have a small but good variety of drinks to. I'll return.
What a massive let down - it was my first time ordering take away from Pizzeria Violetta. I decide to get something nice authentic and not go to the chain pizza places around the hood. To my surprise got home to this small , soggy bottom, cold pizza that I had to re-heat for $24 dollars. Never a good feeling to feel ripped off. Thanks - thumbs down.
The pizza were good but small and there was only small amount of topping on it and it was very pricey for the value. On top of that the manager wasn't really nice and wanted us to dine outside with a small child at night with this cold. We had to insist to get in and the service wasn't friendly or great... The reviews were so good I taught about giving my opinion
It's the first time I buy the pizza from Violetta. It's so yummy. Fresh ingredients. Woodfired pizza best to nothing. Highly recommended
