Always dangerous to eat in a restaurant on a Friday night when you are the only patrons, but we decided against our better judgment to live dangerously. That was a mistake. To be fair we did note 3 takeout orders collected during our 1.5hr stay. On the positive BYO wine was welcomed. If you like to drink wine with your meal do not go to Chilli Bean Restaurant. The food was very ordinary. It tasted like the same big batch of sauce was used for all dishes and a few different dried herbs were thrown in last minute to provide guests with their ordered variants. Green chicken curry had no breast chicken. Very few vegetables. Red curry had same issues. Rice was basmati. There is no air conditioning. If you eat outside you have screaming kids and noise from adjacent motel patrons on one side and the busy main road on the other. Not the place to eat in at unless you prefer the company of your mobile phone and have the volume of your music up high.

We went for dinner tonight, we had to ask for water, for the 1st and second bottle, we had to get up from the table and go in to order a drink, had to get waiters attention to ask to order entrées, then mains, then dessert! Had to ask if they could clear our finished plates as the waiter was leaving our table empty handed, we were only one of 3 tables, we now see why they were so quiet! The food even came out warm after 45 minutes. The WORST dining experience any 4 of us have had EVER! $160 later, for warm average food with very poor service.

Always a great meal. The Barra, the emperor duck, Crying Tiger and Pad Thai was all amazing. Best Thai by far on the Sunshine Coast. Sorry no pics too yummy! Also great for the kids ;-)
