Great food! Always consistent; I never have have a bad meal here. Try the pizzas and the seafood pasta. They are always delicious. Great atmosphere and the staff are quite friendly. The price is reasonable which is always a plus. I recommend Pino's to anyone who is looking for a great Italian meal.
The entrees were OK, but the pasta mains are all excellent. Pizzas were fine, and the teenage boys all raved about the meat dishes. Good noisy atmosphere, However, it is a busy place on a Saturday night anyway so I'd suggest you get a booking. Stair access to the top level can be a bit steep if you have elderly people in your group so get a lower floor booking if that's the case.
Terrible. When we arrived we looked at the menu and made our choices, then they told us that they didn't have any mains left, and hardly any pasta dishes. We ordered a pizza which was delicious and 3 pastas with wild boar. The meat was dry, it was very bland and one pasta had sauce and the other two didn't. We asked why 2 didn't have sauce and they said they ran out of ingredients. They did offer to make us something different but they hardly had anything to offer us as they had no ingredients left. Safe to say we won't be back. To top it off, the waiter had the worst body odour I have ever come across. Disgusting.
The hottest Italian looking who was actually Irish waiter served me when I came here. This is a very popular restaurant in Crows Nest so you should reserve or you'll have to wait for a while for a table. The octopus salad was very uniquely presented and surprisingly quite filling - not loaded with lettuce but rather a mix of mostly potato and octopus. My friend said the pasta was fresh and met his taste bud expectations. A good joint with lots of atmosphere and lots of 5 o clock shadow waiters.
We used to regularly visit this restaurant a couple of years ago and rave about the food. Unfortunately we cannot say the same any more. This is the third time we've visited in the past 18 months and once again it failed to deliver. The chicken pasta was salty and lacked any love, the fregola mint and watermelon salad was bland and the Margherita pizza lacked any real taste or texture. We spent $35 per head for something worth around $12 per head - I'd expect food of this calibre at a food hall.
My fiancé walked up to Pino's to get takeaway - a simple supreme pizza with anchovies & spaghetti carbonara. It was a busy night, but he was told it would take 15 minutes. Almost an hour later he is handed to food, with no much as an apology. I have seen Pino's slam other reviews because they were "understaffed". To Pino's I will say this - staff management is your responsibility. The customer should not bear the burden of your own poor mismanagement. Further to this point - if you had advised us of the actual time wait or given us updates or even an apology for the time it took to make two simple dishes, I wouldn't be writing this. Once he arrived home - the pizza did not have anchovies. The carbonara was DISGUSTING. It had that horrible fake Parmesan cheese riddled throughout and was not creamy or even palatable. Lastly, it was a rip off. $49 for two small and horrible dishes, poor customer service and an all around bad experience. Please avoid Pino's if you like food.
Our meal delivered through Suppertime consisted of a $25.00 container full of sea shells with 4 ravioli pieces, and $24.00 worth of spaghetti carbonara translating to a pitiful amount of pasta and 1 slice of prosciutto cut in two. Combined with $13.00 for three small, soggy pieces of cannoli, it came to a whopping $67.00 for one of the worst meals we've had in a while. Will never be ordering from here again. Disgraceful.
Just bought 2 pizzas for take away. Seafood 'fruti de mare' & Italian sausage. Very disappointed. The dough is so gluey and tough you can hardly bite into it. The "seafood" consisted of a few pipi's a couple of short shards of Calamari, no flavour, really very average. I would not be going back again. Bring back the old Pino's.
Probably the worst pizza I have EVER had. Just ordered and tried to eat two pizzas that I must say had a nice crusty thin base. The topping was very hard to recognise, almost non-existent...zero flavour and a good 25 to 30mm of hard dry crust around the perimeter. We had to throw out half of the pizza portions as the topping was just tomato base or cheese minimal. I would never recommend Pinos to ANYBODY. Disgusting food for the price... 2 large pizzas, and a dry supposed garlic bread without the garlic, all for the bargain ripoff price of $58!!!!!! .........YUCH!!! Either fire your chef or improve your act. LET'S ALL SAY...NEVER AGAIN!!! Forgot to mention, if you roll a portion of the pizza up like a wrap it's not that bad...but you're probably better off to buy a wrap from Subway or KFC as would definitely taste better.
I regularly take my clients to Pino's for breakfast meetings and the service is hands above local providers and the food brilliant. Pino's is also my local restaurant for taking family and friends for dinner. Fair pricing, quick service and great food added with the friendly proprietor who is a mad Italian sports bike fan. Try it out
