My mum and I stayed in their dorm room which was lovely! Clean, comfortable and cozy.nnThe views around the entire hostel are absolutely stunning! So lush and peaceful  I love that they have a trampoline to play on, and plenty of hens roaming around freely.nnGeoff and Jeff are lovely human beings that make the place feel welcoming and homely. When my mum got stung by a bee, the accommodated her needs quickly and with care.nnA great place for anyone who desires a luxury getaway at a great price!

We had a fantastic time here. The accommodation was great. Very clean, and a great property. The backyard views were stunning. The proximity to the beach was nice too. We walked to South Piha Beach in about 10-15min, we also walked to the trailhead for Kite Kite Falls in less than 5min.

Idyllically located on a river stream flowing through a rain forest this heavenly hostel is more like a dreamy tropical oasis.  Owner Geoff is super chill and connected with the local surf scene as well! He is a gracious host and made me feel at home in Piha. I’m from Miami and have traveled the globe; it’s damn near impossible to find accommodations and staff this perfect.

Piha Beachstay was such a beautiful surprise. The location is perfection, you can walk to the beach, hikes, waterfalls, and into town to grab a coffee. The shared space and rooms were incredibly clean. The hostel was very quiet for us so if you are looking for a peaceful stay this is the place. Absolutely stunning location and if the weather is good you are in for a treat!

This place isn't cheap but it's absolutely gorgeous. Really well put together and clean hostel. It's in a stunning location right next to a kauri walk and a very nice waterfall. You have Piha beach about a 20 minute walk away which is great for surfing.nnDespite the prices there were quite a few backpackers who seemed to be working for their stay so this might be an option if you want to stay fairly long term.
