Cool little cafe, we got a table outside in the shade which was nice considering it was a hot day. We ordered brisket eggs Benny and a brisket burger which were both amazing. Hot fresh and delicious! My only fault would be the smoothies we ordered were not cold. Will definitely be back
Pig & Fig was a bustling cafe, even on a Wednesday morning. The food was fantastic I ordered the brisket burger, which came with some of the best fries I’ve had in a while. For dessert I ordered the carrot cake which was a little different from a traditional cake in all the right ways. The service was great and the food came out fast, it was a little noisy but that was partially due to it being school holidays.
Another of my pleasant findings for lunch. It was a sunny day and I managed to get a seat outdoors. I ordered the Eggs Benny with a choice of smoked salmon. It was delicious! The rosti was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Everything was on point!nnFor dessert I ordered the carrot cake and a long black. I liked the carrot cake's texture. Unfortunately it had too many foreign items in there like raisins, and candied/dried fruits which added the sweetness which was not required. I'd have preferred the traditional carrot cake - cake, carrot and cream cheese. The cake was served with fresh cream. To my surprise it went well with the cake. Washed it down with the black coffee. It was a good meal.nnNB: I forgot to.mention that the waitress on that Sunday I was there was super helpful. She helped me make sure my table was kept for me.while I went to order dessert post meal. Hence the fantastic 5 stars!
Horrible thick stodgy overcooked pancakes. They were burnt, completely inedible and presented sloppily with a bunch of cream and biscoff just dumped on top. Coffee was fine, nothing to write home about. The music was also loud and obnoxious, I don’t need to hear the best of Cher and Shakira on full blast while I’m trying to relax. Not sure what this cafe is trying to be or how they got so many high reviews. There’s a better cafe just 50m away, go there instead.
Fantastic place for brunch. Coffee was amazing and the food was great. Recommend the crispy salmon salad and seafood chowder. Very generous serving sizes. Staff were very professional and attentive. We will be back!
